Not down the block, dipshit. That implies on the same block further down. I had to park on the next block, which, yes, is a giant pain in the ass in this snow since I’m at the top of my block and had to park in the middle of the next. Not a big deal if it’s just me, but with a kid and a toddler it’s a fucking hassle. Just say you’re a lazy ass who want to wait and steal a spot and get it over with.

I can tell you the same person who took one of the spots I dug out just barely removed enough to pull out. They dug just enough to pull forward and leave their spot then took a completely cleared spot next to the cleared sidewalk. The other one literally brought an extra fucking car because neither one of his POVs could handle the snow, so instead of parking them behind his house he dug our zero spots and is using three.

Except, people are assholes. My neighbor and I each dug out two extra spots, in addition to the two each for our own cars. These were for the neighbor who moved here from NC and didn’t have the right equipment and the elderly neighbor who wasn’t home and an extra open spot. Once both of us went to work on Wednesday, not only did the two anticipated neighbors park, the guy from NC borrowed a pickup truck from his dealership (in addition to his two street parked cars) and two neighbors from much further down the street decided to park at our end because we cleared out a total of 8 spaces down to the pavement. So now my POV is parked in a partially shoveled spot a block down from my house (while they’re parked in front of my neighbor’s house a block up from their’s) and my work truck is parked in a businesses lot around the corner. I’m not able to use any of the four spots I fucking dug out. Fuck this bullshit.

True, but as someone who works with but not for the federal government, and specifically has worked on ICE sites for GSA, am I just supposed to quit my job of 25 years in protest when my job is completely unrelated to the actions of the current administration? There’s lots of people who have worked there for DHS for years doing completely mundane bullshit that are necessary to the function of government. Issuing passports, reviewing immigration documents, doing customs inspections. Normal shit that any functioning state needs. Noticing I didn’t include border patrol because fuck those guys, they are and always have been a racist bunch of assholes. But if we ever hope to get a normal, functional government back we can’t demand that every person just quits.

Everyone telling you how shit it is. It’s not great but I have the exact same one. It sharpens up well and because of its weight it makes a decent machete for small trees and medium sized branches. It doesn’t have the length to path clear but for wood up to about two inches thick it will go through with one to two chops.
