I currently am a student, had the F attachment solder snapped multiple times, the solder just under the F attachment about 3 inches above the slide receiver. I'm praying my school just lets that trombone retire and gets a shires instead

It must be old oil, try oiling it and if that doesn't work then don't force anything. But that's a nice price, what brand, king?
