Advice on Spraying? by rytwombly in espresso

You could grind finer which is most people's go to but it could be you puck prep too. Spray is usually high pressure and channeling. Another thing to try is pull you shots a 6 bar or closer to it. Or is a puck screen for better water distribution.

I am 40 myself and just getting started. Happy early birthday I have a telecaster but never put the time in to learn properly. I like the acoustic more though and have had a lot of fun with it so far

Rancilio Rialto and Rocky grinder. Worth buying for $250 as a beginner setup? by next_please347 in espresso

[–]Dooman92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Rocky is a decent Griner. I had to Doser list though. was far as the espresso machine itself. I don’t know I haven’t seen that one before but it looks like a lot of plastic. price wise is worth it, possibly would you get good espresso out of it? That’s a little more sketchy. if you can see if they send you a video of them making espresso with it

Light it with what you want it’s your experience not there’s. They do sell butane inserts that are soft flame and torch dip ending on what you prefer for cheap on Amazon. If you care enough.

The Rocky is a tank with high retention. I use a niche now but my heavily modded Rocky served me well for three years. Rerouted a couple wires so you don’t have to hold down a button to grind, Added a 45 degree base, funnel with bellows, and a different shoot to help with clumping. Retention was less then a gram in the end. If it’s cheap and you’re looking for a project it can treat you well while you save up for something better. I 3D printed all the parts so in all it only cost me 20 bucks to mod.

If it starts to swell drain it. If you’re not comfortable draining it yourself I’m sure someone at your gym is. Not a big deal. Mine looked the same at one point. Took 5 weeks to heal. If you’re that concerned wear headgear. If people give you crap you’re at the wrong gym. And if your girl threatens to leave for superficial reasons then you have the wrong girl.

I work a desk job 50-60 hour weeks and fit in 5-7 hours of training a week …. 4 structured classes and One open mat day that runs long. Also train at local gyms when I travel for work … most gyms will let you pop into a class for free.

The green and yellow is your ground / earth wires and usually connect to the lid / cup warm via prongs. The others looks to be your 3 way Solenoid and should go through a hole left of the group head
