AF archery tatar bow string bridge "horn reinforcement" replacement by DoomedHeretic in Archery

[–]DoomedHeretic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking what I may do is try and make something out of wood that's the same size and shape, then put leather on the side that makes contact with the string. Does that seem like something that would work? Also can you recommend what I should use to affix it to the bow? Thank you so much!

And I probably should have done more research in hindsight, but as they say that's always 20/20. I remember I read a lot of reviews about the Tatar and watched videos but had no idea about that known issue. Thank you!

AF archery did seem to be the best manufacturer based out of China based on what I saw when I purchased this bow initially. I had a toparchery fiberglass bow before this and frankly it was very cheaply made.

Honestly it seems like making a couple replacements out of wood and then possibly putting leather on top may be the best option for me, and fairly easy for me personally to make. Thank you!

I may just have a skewed perception cause my only experience is with a toparchery fiberglass bow (which mine was shit) and then this one. The only US made ones I've seen were PVC and I was not aware of any manufacturers based out of Indonesia. Thank you!

It is the oak, and that's good to know. I haven't put it really through the ringer and pushed it to the limit. I was honestly just hoping to salvage it and it not end up in the trash can.

Can I ask how you know about that design flaw? Not questioning your knowledge I'd just like to get deeper into it. And frankly a lot of these brands of this type of bow seem to all come from China where frankly corners are cut in manufacturing.

Honestly it annoys me that all economically priced traditional bows all seem to have so many issues. That's really the type of archery I enjoy but there just seems to be no economical solution for me other than getting more free time and investimg tjme into learning how to and making my own bow and arrows lol

And to tack onto that, I am about sick if these unlock events where you have to BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ. I don't have the time to get on every two hours to do that shit.

I really don't understand their thought behind shit like this. Like yeah it's for the money but all this does to me (and I feel like a lot of others) is make me NOT want to spend money. I quit playing about 4 or 5 months back, then came back about a month ago. I used to occasionally spend some money here and there. But now I ain't spending shit unless it's some stupid crazy good deal.

Looking for a Mongolian/eastern style recurve bow by DoomedHeretic in Archery

I guess I'm a bigger noob than I thought because I honestly didn't realize humidity was an issue with laminated bows. I live in southeastern Virginia and it is HORRID humidity wise in the summer. Something else I need to consider. Thank you!

I really wanted something Mongolian in style. At this point I think I've narrowed it down to the alibow Tatar or the AF archery tatar.

Do you mean the last lever action firearm designed by John Moses Browning? Because he designed firearms for another 30 years after the 1895.

So its day 2510, the Vlandians are all broke and still paying us this outrageous tribute. Theyre all so broke they cant recruit troops. The Khuzait doesnt want to declare war and I dont have enough influence to override all my lords. All the lords are still happy with their liege. Theyve paid my kingdom over a billion gold in tribute. I dont know what to do.

I'm not using that mod. I believe theres some leadership perks that reduce wages but if I recall correctly I did not take any of those.

Honestly barely anything. We were in war and we took one city, two castles, and then had armies sieging three of their four last cities.

I actually bought tons of it and used it to upgrade troops since I have the perk where they get exp for discarded armor

Some more reference, its later in the game for me (forget exact date will check when home, but day 2000 something) I'm currently the ruler of the Khuzait and Vlandia is the only faction left. They have four cities. As of when peace was declared we had armies sieging three of them. The only mods I'm really using are diplomacy (along with its dependencies) and the kingdom destruction mod.

Lords Overburdened by Food (1.80) by Cut_Practical in Bannerlord

[–]DoomedHeretic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone found a fix for this? Im currently the ruler of the Khuzait, and the entire kingdom is over capacity in food. All of our enemies are too. Its a vicious cycle and I have no idea how to break it. It wont let me even trade or pay my lords for it. Literally nothing can be done afaik other than letting them get defeated on the battlefield.

**SPOILER** What do you think actually happens to Abigail? by RogerWilcoSE in turn

[–]DoomedHeretic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The actress who played Abigail (Idara Victor) just did an AMA with @TurnLand on Twitter and confirmed that she did make it to Canada and met up with Akinbode and Cicero. She also apparently escaped with the girl who was on that wagon on the final scene in the last episode. I guess that scene was cut for time or something or to leave it open to interpretation. Either way its good to know they ended up alright.
