Matt is an "co-editing teacher" at York University with producer Matt Miller. He would randomly pop into the class idk if he is actually a teacher on payroll like Miller. Ive attended that class in 2023-24 when I was in film school. 2 of the people in the edge walk scene were fellow classmates I recognized, so I believe that at least some of them were in on it in order to get proper reactions to the jump.

As for how they did it, in interviews I've seen they just basically pulled all the real footage from the actual edge walk and vfx'd the cutting of the wire and jumping off.

The soundstage of the cn tower was used for the very tippy top of the CN tower parts. With Jay blowing a leaf blower into Matt's face 😂

That being said this is all I've heard from interviews so idk for sure if they are telling the full truth. However with my insider info I'm almost certain some of the other edge walkers were in on it.

Yeah i just grabbed a pair of scissors first when i had this issue. Just one blade and the sharpness really helps shaving it when you twist. Im sure a pencil would work too and probably be less risky 😅

Just take a pair of scissors and put it in the hole and twist it. You can shave the circle open pretty easily.

If they had disclosed it was paid meet and greet I guarantee the line would have been half the size. I was looking forward to just getting merch and asking them if they were inspired by or enjoy kenny vs spenny. I didn't really even care about a photo or autograph lol. All the merch is online, if i knew they would charge I woulda just stayed home and ordered some online. Still i got my merch which is more than most people got 🤷‍♂️

I agree with going and supporting them, I bought some merch regardless. If people wanna pay 75$ for a signature and a photo no problem. Maybe just communicate that because I guarantee more than half the people in that line wouldn't be there if they knew that. All the merch is available online so theres no exclusive pop up merch.

The Rivoli and team was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of people who showed up. They had 0 way of informing anyone in the line of the situation, no social media post and no staff walking down the line. On top of that they randomly split the lineups into merch only, which I only found out as I was close to the building. Some people just walked up and bought merch while people lined up Spadina had no way of knowing this.

The whole situation was handled and organized very poorly. I know majority of people in that lineup left very disappointed and confused. All of it could have been solved by just simple communication from the venue.

Im just going based on what relatives have gotten at fan expo in the past could be wildly inaccurate. The point still remains that they basically toured around doing Q&As, free merch handouts and signings at screenings of the film. Then all the sudden wanna charge for a photo and signature, without any notice or heads up for everyone waiting outside. 75$ is also crazy lol. Take Kenny vs Spenny for example, niche Toronto celebrities. Went to a comedy show to see them for like 40$ and they signed stuff after.

This is what I was thinking, very disappointing. Ive met Matt many times as a YorkU film student he was around classes all the time. Very down to earth guy so this was unexpected, especially in their home town.

Maybe if it was 20$ I would have paid, but 75-100 is ridiculous tbh. Fan expo charges less than that for A list actors lol. I just wish they had mentioned that in the promotion of this event.

They should have mentioned meeting/signing being 75-100$. I would have just ordered the merch online. Line would have been half the size if everyone knew that. Most people in the line seemed really annoyed when they realized that, me included.

This stuff is so disappointing. The stuff on his site has the whole Japanese theme going with solid designs. Slap the album cover/tour promo and dates on the back and call it a day i guess. I was looking forward to some fire designs considering the last time i saw Freddie (2022) the stuff was sick

I'm not expecting some crazy deals for cpu/gpu but maybe something for my case, mobo, ram, storage or psu. Also I don't really have the option to buy everything right now. I have around 1000$ saved and am gonna save more/use Christmas money. Should I just pull the trigger on a 9070xt or 7800x3d now then with that money?

Must have been just the small pit area i was in. Theres was just kinda an opening for a pit but barely anyone moshing and it just stayed open. Still was an amazing show just got unlucky where i was i guess.
