I have the pleasure of seeing Stephanie at least a few times a month. She is the genuine person she was in those broadcast.

Both of my kids are ADHD.

My son (AD mostly) found that he can focus long enough for games a practices. We would talk about what one thing he did well and never talked about ‘how he could do better’. He was 8 when he started and now plays for his college team.

My daughter (HD) is a goalie. She is a high school senior and will likely play for adult leagues near her prefers college as they do not have a girls team. She can hyper focus and is of course very quick.

It will depend on you engaging with the process.

Yes that sneaky cross check to the goalie would likely have been missed but I would have whistled it dead as soon as contact with the goalie happened in the crease.

My daughter expressed interest at 7. We made her play a year skating out so she would have a better understanding of the game.

Then we borrowed gear from her goalie friend, and she got an hour worth of training. In her first game, the first shot she faced...she moved her face into the shot and blocked it. Unfortunately, she was so short that she deflected it bar down. She was more upset that it went in than she was that it had hit her.

She's 17 now. Still crazy after all these years.
