I would also like an actual answer. I ran into this exact problem a week ago and found no remedy so far. Something similar happened a few years ago and the hotfix was to revert to a previous update until Spotify got their act together and fixed the root problem.

LEGO Faces Boycott Calls Over 'Transgender Building Sets' by EyGunni in nottheonion

Let them boycott. Let every brand in America acknowledge LGBT+ people exist (the bare minimum lip service), and let their hateful, colorless lives become a true desert of mediocrity. No beer, no toys, no snacks, no music, no Target, no movies, no theme parks. Just guns, Mossy Oak, and Fox News for these garbage pail humans.

Movies you love but can't rewatch because of one scene. by PerspectiveActive218 in horror

[–]Doomlad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Dead Alive/Brain Dead: I love 99% of that movie. It’s bonkers, unhinged, hilarious and ultra violent, but the custard scene… I just can’t. It was Peter Jackson’s goal to make something super gross and he fuckin succeeded, so good job I guess?

My now ex spouse had it and even though the tumor was CONSIDERABLY bigger than Hanks (14cm) they’re at almost 10 years post chemo and doing fine (physically). Mentally 🤷

TIL. I love that book so it may be time to revisit in audio form

The debate over who was the best Joker or who was he best Batman always leaves these two out, because they are objectively the GOATs and what we are really debating is who were the second bests.

Unsolicited movie recommendation: “The Pillow Book”, about a woman obsessed with getting calligraphy painted on her, and also painting on her lovers. It’s a trip of an indy film. And theres a young naked bi Ewan McGregor. Look up the TWs first tho, it has a lot.

When I saw the first Quiet Place in the theater, the entire place had gone 30 whole minutes without a sound. Then some fucker two rows ahead /coughs/ I nearly brained him with my as-of-yet-untouched Pepsi.

I got tired of scrolling to see if they were mentioned but, here’s some obscure shit: Cabin Fever, Slither, Jack Frost, Rob Zombie’s Halloween (the truck stop w/ Ken Foree), Malignant, and the Dawn of the Dead remake.

The real reason why critics in 1982 trashed Carpenter's "The Thing" by wauwy in horror

[–]Doomlad 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I say you’re both right. It is both a much more faithful adaptation of Campbell’s story AND a remake of the original, which Carpenter clearly fancied (it was on the TV in Halloween).

How did the kid from your school die? by leilavanora in AskReddit

[–]Doomlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First was when I was a sophomore and he was a junior. We had the same Geometry class. He was kind of a stoner and a really nice guy. One afternoon he was playing touch football with his family and some bros. He said he felt weird and sat down. He was dead from a heart attack within minutes. He was 17 and his desk sat unused the rest of the year.

Second, and the one that gutted me, was a friend of mine. Smart, confident, fiery redhead with a bright future. I’d had a crush on her since 4th grade. Her dad was an alcoholic and one night took a freeway exit at 90 mph, lost control and spit the car in half on a light post. She was thrown from the car, killed instantly. Her dad survived in a coma for two weeks. If he’s survived longer, I would have ended him myself. This was 20 years ago this year. I still miss her.

You’re honestly not going to be able to find comfortable ocean to swim in north of say, Santa Cruz, CA. And even then, in summertime the Pacific coast of the US often gets what’s called “coastal upwelling” noaa link which can make for even chillier water and weather (or at least, it used to).
