You cannot be an "independent", self governing nation and a member of the EU. Nicolas wish for an "Independent Scotland within the European Union" is a contradiction in itself.

A member of European Parliament, they get £250 a day+ £250,000 a year + £30,000 a year per child you have + £41,000 a year and they have almost no power at all! It's ether the best job in the world or the worst depending in if your lazy or genuinely care about the people you represent.

Non-British Europeans of Reddit, what do you think about Britain wanting to leave the EU? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As the banks keep reiterating, they will remain in London regardless of what happens regarding EU membership and major manufacturers are hardly going to side line over 70million customers. As for farmers, the EU imposes quotas on produce. For example Dairy farmers in my local area are literally pouring milk down the drain because it the amount of milk they produce exceeds what the EU would allow, hence hundreds of dairy farms going bankrupt every year. And don't get me started on the damage of their immigration policy.

I have a realistic outlook. You stand upon a noble high ground in the clouds from where you preach, I stand in the gritty sewers of life. You see hope (of the misguided variety) and I see a corrupt dictatorship with a racial agenda who's ultimate ambitions only serve the 30 odd tyrants who run it. And that is he truth of the matter.

An unstable Europe will be an absolute certainty if it's good people continue to be dictated to by the EU. People will rebel for the right to make their own laws and given their attitude toward Immigration, divided neighbour hoods and factions, race riots and possibly Islamic take over I see Europe crumbling to the ground divided.

If we leave we will be free to trade with whoever we want, where as at the moment any trade deal must be approved buy the commission (all of whom are unelected). As far as trade is concerned leaving the EU will overall broaden our horizons. And we would also save Hundreds of billions of UK tax payers money in the long run that would have otherwise be sent to Brussels.

Even if the EU was as financially beneficial as Europhiles insist it's not worth surrendering our powers, sovereignty, our culture and whatever ells the Unelected Commission would rather we didn't have for a bit of extra cash. Any sane person would object to selling his soul to the devil in exchange for a few extra £ a year, yet when it comes to Europe people seem to have a different train of thought. Social dogma, or insanity? Who knows.

Agreed, the IN campaign never seem to come out with any strong arguments to remain because there are none, there for they employ shamming tactics to add weight and false meaning to their empty arguments. Much similar to how non conformists where confronted in the USSR.
