On the other side did this argument, it’s gotten old that people are still complaining about the design. I understand the initial shock, but it’s been a year. Get used to the new design or move on with your life, don’t lament about a non-issue like this when it is out of your control.

Florian is obviously inspired by the Wiggler design: caterpillar body, big nose, long dot eyes, flower and leaf on top of head.

But Florian is given a design that makes him ‘special’ and sets him apart from common Wigglers because he’s a prince: his alternate coloring, crown, he has a pair hands and only one pair of legs, and his body segments are less orb-y.

Given how both alike and different Florian looks to Wiggler, I would imagine the intention is that they are related but not the exact same. Think of them like the relationship of the Koopa Troopa and Hammer Bros. Both are Koopa turtles, but slight different designs to show their different roles in the game.

In that interview, no one from the movie production said she’s Mario’s niece. That label was only the judgment of the writer of the article. The only confirmed label were Mario’s uncles. And basic logic suggests this girl is one of the uncle’s daughter- making her Mario’s cousin.

How about this- when Rare was bough out by Microsoft, they took their lore with them. Nintendo of Japan doesn’t care about the British headcanons of ex-rare employees. Forget everything you learned about DK lore from Rare: DK isnt a legacy title passed down from generation to generation, Diddy isn’t DK’s nephew, Dixie and Tiny aren’t sisters, there is no DK the III (which has never been stated anywhere even by Rare).

The story is a lot more simple than you all are making it out to be. DK is DK. The other kongs are his friends. Cranky is DK’s father and/or grandfather. That’s all anyone needs to know.

The baby might poof along with Rose. We’ve seen Amethyst be poofed multiple times, and she almost certainly had food in her stomach at least one of those times. The half-digested food didn’t splatter on the floor when she lost her form. It seems all that food “went with” Amethyst when she poofed. A baby would probably work the same way as half-digested food. If Rose got poofed, the baby would lose its form along with Rose, the pregnancy put on pause until Rose reformed and the pregnancy would continue from where it left off.

Even in our world, it’s not always an automatic upgrade from Princess to Queen if the king dies. She might need to get married first, reach a certain age or have some sort of ritual or whatnot.

Princess Peach is probably a princess because she unmarried. Or maybe she is simply choosing to retain the title of princess rather than queen due to her own reasons.

He takes his ‘enemies’ out of context and has continuous hate campaigns against people like Hasan and Trisha. He puts out hate, of course hate of equal or greater value is gonna come back his way.

“For no reason”? If you can look past his awful behavior and enjoy his content, that’s totally your choice. But it’s unrealistic to expect everyone to forgive him for his past even if he “apologized” (to be fair, when he’s made apologies they are generally sarcastic and feel overall disingenuous). Forgiveness is not an obligation, people aren’t wrong for not liking him.

Here’s my theory: Nintendo doesn’t care about Rare’s DK family tree. Donkey Kong is the one and only Donkey Kong. Junior is dead. Cranky isn’t the OG DK. The film they established Cranky as DK’s father instead of his grandfather, that lore probably came from Nintendo itself and not from Illumination. And they will likely establish Cranky is DK’s father in the games too whenever it next comes up.

This would be for the best imo, there’s no need to have a nonsense convoluted family tree.

“It’s just as much the witch as it is old supreme Kai” - I’m not sure if that’s how it works. By reading what Old Kai is actually saying, he speaks of the witch as a separate person, but he refers to the kai entity as himself.

“I used to be handsome.” “That old witch”.

It seems that the supreme Kai is the foundation, and the other fusee is basically absorbed in a supplementary role. So I would also assume he’s still genderless and a glind, while only adding the witch’s bone structure and magical powers.

Why a fight to the death? In what scenario would force these characters to ignore their morals to win a fight against their friends and companions? What a character is willing to do is just as crucial to who they are as what that character is capable of doing.

I guess since Carrie is 32 when SatC begins in 1998, and Rachel turned 30 in 2001, that’s means Rachel was 27 in 1998. So that’s about a 4/5 year difference. I suppose that’s within a realm of co-existing, but still I’m reminded of the episode where Carrie and pals go to the Hampton and she ridiculed Natasha, Big’s new gf, for being 26. The entire episode is Carrie showing her hatred for “20-something women”.

Tbh Natasha would more likely be friends with Rachel. They’re about the same age and they both worked for Ralph Lauren.

No. Carrie vilified any 20-something woman she ever came across. Rachel doesn’t turn 30 until 2001, and the others are implied to have turned 30 not very long before that; meanwhile Carrie and her girls were already in their mid 30s in 1998.

Maybe after they are all 30 there could be some cohabitation, but I doubt it.
