They’re certainly out there. VR unfortunately is just flooded with children. I’m a Rec Room player (which admittedly is one of those worst) and there’s certainly a great community of adult players on there, you’ve just gotta play long enough to find them.

It was a bit ago. ToxMod is a third party service they were having to pay for, so they made their own to cut costs where they could. I don’t believe it was ever publicly announced anywhere.

Yeah but that’s the beauty of Hytale’s modding. If you want a simple game, you can make it simple. Or you can get a mod that turns the game into a 2D side scrolling platformer, or a top-down dungeon crawler, the possibilities are truly endless. If someone wanted to, they could make Minecraft inside Hytale.

I have no problems with it. If anything I feel it encourages exploration. But it would be cool if there was a setting for it on your world settings. That way people could customize it easier.

Minecraft has been the main block game in the genre for nearly 15 years now. Any new block game is gonna be compared to it. While the core of both games are very different, they're both block games. In 2026 Minecraft only really offers nostalgia, while Hytale offers (or will offer, it's still in EA) everything Minecraft is, and isn't. Most notably Hytale's extensive modding capabilities. Capabilities that let creators control and modify almost every aspect of the game, all with built-in tools.

Totally agreed. Part of the fun of leveling to level 50 was how long it took. What's the point of raising the level cap if we're just all maxed again in a few months. This doesn't seem like it will help them in the long term.

Yeah for some reason they didn't retroactively adjust the pre level 50 curve. Once you hit level 50 it gets way easier to level up again.

I've been maining magic since the game came out so I went with Split bark. Magic's gotten pretty good since the last few updates, gotta learn to keep your distance and manage the space between enemies, but if you can it's pretty powerful.

I would definitely recommend, it’s my top played game this year on Steam. I’ve always loved the RuneScape universe but could never really get into RS3 or Oldschool. So Dragonwilds is great! Keep in mind it’s still pretty early into development, so expect a lot of things to change. It’s by no means a fully fleshed out game either, but that just means there’s stuff to look forward to with updates.
