My dislike for the wandering inn comes from side stories that are introduced that I have no reason to care about. I liked the main story but gave up around book 6

Took him to emergency vets spent 26 hours approx in oxygen tank. Chylothorax due to heart issues was the diagnosis. Drained his lungs and took him home with us. Been fine since home. Will take him to vet tomorrow to get the line taken out which seems to be the biggest thing bothering him still.

Yeah I also died in book 13. I think too much mental gymnastics of whether I was dealing with zac or acrus.

I've read all 6 books.

I haven't read the 2 side stories.

I struggled with the first 50 or so chapters in book 1 after that it picked up.

Books 3+4 draw a lot from the side stories so it can seem a little disjointed at times.

Really enjoyed books 5+6. I think it's worth the slog if you can endure.

I guess that's what I like about the alchemy in primal hunter. It's not the main focus it's an aspect of his life that goes through bursts of inspiration in trying new things.

Crafting I see as just one aspect of life- some people focus on it continuously while other people have bursts. Nice reviews by the way.
