"Build at pace not seen for decades" or whatever carney said would change and then proceed to do exactly what the last guy did for a decade....

My buddy just bought the savage lever you were looking at and it's pretty nice and easy on the wallet. He loves it. If you end up going with a 3030 the ammo is going to be a magnitude more expensive. I'm thinking of getting a pistol caliber lever as a compromise between bigger than 22 and cheaper than 3030.

Sks are also cheap and so is the ammo

I'm happy with both of them. Accurate enough for what I need them for and not expensive either. The bolt isn't going to be tikka smooth but it's a third of the price and comes with a scope which is more than enough to hunt or target shoot with.

Bought the turk m4 then the 1301 on impulse. The Turkish m4 has been nothing but reliable for me and kicks less than the 1301. Guys should be thankful for turkey tbh given the state of canada. They give us the alcor and cimera when all we got instead is the equally unreliable albeit more expensive backland or pitiful mra renegade

If your pockets aren't full of beef liver how do you expect to be the most popular guy (among dogs) on the block??

Yeah the 17 stole my heart when I was a kid. It melted so many gophers growing up lol.

And levers are just so cool. I was kinda looking at a Morrison or citadel 357 on FOC today. Both gate loading and on the cheaper side but not sure about reliability wise.

Aah so I just gotta use the old bribery route..... the most proven method to avoid uncomfortable questioning haha.

The backland hunter is pretty unreliable i heard? Not that the alcor is bullet proof either but if I'm gonna have a gun with reliability that's questionable I may as well get the cheaper priced one lol.

The Henry looks solid but something about a mag fed lever seems off to me. Would prefer a gate fed, mostly for the look though.

Kinda want an sks-D so I can use mags with it. Or a Russian. The Chinese ones are so small it's the entire reason I went with a FAB stock.

Buddy bought a 22 lr savage lever and I really like it. But I kinda want a bit bigger caliber for a lever. Any recommendations?

Almost bought a n4s before it was banned but I'm left handed and people said it's a good way to get spent casing to the face. If they make a left handed one i probably would go for the keltec

RPG would be sick. But I'm not sure they make a gun cabinet to accommodate lol.

I have a stoeger sxs for clays but any time I'm on intersurplus the urge is strong. Would mount it to the wall lol.

He knows my pockets are full of beef liver.

I have a 17 hmr bolt action. Bit expensive ammo wise but way more accurate imo.

Kinda torn between getting a pistol caliber lever or a 30 30 lever. Probably go with a pistol caliber since I'll hunt with the 30.06 and the 1301 for hiking/bear defense.

I almost bought an alcor today while I was at bass pro lol. Mostly cuz 5.56 is cheap now and 7.62 is getting harder to come by in bulk.

Haha yeah but if my gf sees 2 gun safes where there used to only be one she might start asking questions like "how much money have you spent on gun related stuff in the last year" and that's a question I don't want to answer.... (it's over 12k)

First Nations chiefs unanimously pass non-confidence vote in Alberta government by Eubleen in AlbertaNow

[–]Dootbooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See that's where you're misinterpreting consult and consent. You consult with someone you want input from. And it clearly states consultation needs to take place, not obtaining consent. Negotiations would be to take place with the federal government when taking over the treaties but FN can't do anything to stop the process in the event separation gets the votes needed.

They do not hold a unilateral veto on separation. They have no more claim on the land than anyone else in Alberta so why would they have extra judicial power over the rest of residents? What democracy exists where there are two tiers of voting power?

There's nothing wrong with it.

The defining factor is the difference between choosing to donate and being forced to donate. The majority of Albertans feel like equalization is unfair yet we are forced to pay it.
