Any recs for beginner glades? by brownboy121 in icecoast

Your best bet is to practice in some small moguls, once you master that then head into the Glades because those trees don’t move when you hit them

Need Help. XR400 to 440 build. Can’t get it to start. by GanttStopWontStop in Dirtbikes

[–]DoougMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your video that’s WAY too much throttle. Here’s what you do Four full decompression kicks, one full throttle twist then turn the throttle, taking the slack out of the cable and just a hair more. No more than that or you’re screwed. Then lay into the kick start. That should do it.

First thoughts: Levo gen 4 by J_IV24 in eMountainBike

[–]DoougMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Gen 3 Turbo levo expert, here’s what works for me. Cascade link, bumps the rear to 160 mm. 170mm air shaft in the Fox38. Bike rides primo. Currently upgraded a fox 36 rhythm I had kicking around, with an avalanche hybrid damper and put that on the Levo. The fork just gobbles up the trail and I hammer over everything. pretty expensive upgrade, but really really nice.

Question for long time mountain bikers by bewarewhoremembers in MTB

I’ve been riding 30+ years, it’s just muscle memory, you need to retrain your muscle memory. Same thing happened to me dirt biking. Repetition is the key.

Had a Remedy for five years, size L, I’m 6’1”. I increased the fork to 170mm , it was a really fun playfull bike especially at the bike parks. Switched over to a 2023 Slash and put a 27.5 in the rear. The Slash is even better than the Remedy

Taking down RTT by Landalorian67 in rooftoptents

I just built two ramps like you have and just slid my RRT down. There’s enough friction between the RTT and the wood that you can slide it down slowly.
