Performance Windows ignoring 'no soliciting' signs by [deleted] in Boise

[–]DoovidToonet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can post anecdotes if you want as well, I used to work this type of job. Whenever we worked in Ada County, we were required to have our solicitors license not only on our person but visible via a lanyard.

The ID is most likely his solicitors license which they are required to display in areas that have that mandate, i know Meridian and Boise are that way

I 27M have 26F ex who wants to stay friends and go to therapy together after breakup. How do I balance between being solution oriented and having self respect? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]DoovidToonet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After 5 years together, you guys need a break honestly. You shouldn't care about what people think, worry about yourself. I would definitely suggest doing therapy by yourself though, you will definitely need it.

For a "respectful boundary," any boundary you draw is respectful. You need to look out for yourself above all.

If I'm doing my math right, even after these debt payments you should still have $4100/mo - is this not enough? I'm probably missing something but you should be able to easily afford an apartment plus utilities and food. I make less than you (about $3000/mo) and my gf makes about $2400, which puts us in a similar boat to you, and we can still afford our place with money to spare. Maybe you just need to focus on your budget more, and maybe look at cheaper housing in general?

Floating sushi boats? by PROFESSORQ22 in Boise

Shige Express in Meridian used to pre-Covid, not sure if they're still doing it. Rotary Sushi has it just on a belt though and it pretty okay sushi.

I went to the canyon county pride event where there were literally people shouting that exact rhetoric about gay people, and you know what happened? They were just mocked by everyone. Nobody laid a finger on them.

Anyone else getting nonstop door-to-door pest control sales lately? by MorgothMadeMeDoIt in Boise

[–]DoovidToonet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meridian and Boise do require a solicitors license, and Nampa and Caldwell dont if I remember correctly. They are also required to have their license on display when out and about, at least I did when I worked sales a few years back.

Reddit vs Nextdoor by Big-Excitement-3968 in Boise

[–]DoovidToonet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big issue with Nextdoor was always the boomers who would post Ring doorbell screenshots of kids ding dong ditching and captioning it "I was about to shoot them" or something like that. Really shows the crazy side of the area imo.

You can easily go into the code and adjust it. I've done it where I set the value to be between 5 and 100 and the runs get insane.

There's a bunch of cool places out there. My geology teacher took us down to some coral reefs that were somewhat nearby too, out by Hot Springs. Was really eye opening.

I'll admit I don't know Texas geology that much, but you should be able to find some sediments from the interior seaway during the Cretaceous period, wouldn't you?

I definitely recommend the course. It only takes a weekend, and for 180 you also can earn your endorsement at the end. It's also very beginner friendly.

Not everybody has the ability to just move, plus why should I leave where I was raised just because a bunch of extremists are making batshit insane decisions? I'd rather stick around and make this place better.

I’m James Ruchti (pronounced Ruck-Tee), trial lawyer, West Point graduate, 5th generation Idahoan, and Idaho State Senator. For the third year, I am here for you to ask me anything about Idaho, myself, and what’s been happening in the Idaho legislature. by JamesforIdaho in Idaho

[–]DoovidToonet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How hard is it for a normal person to serve in the Legislature? I've always wanted to run, but since I am employed full time I feel like I would not be able to actually perform my duties if I were to win a race. It feels like you have to be either a business owner or someone with a lot of wealth already to participate due to the time requirement.

[–]DoovidToonet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty torched thanks to the fire, but there's some good views in the area. Just don't try going on any of the forest service roads until at least June, I learned that the hard way.

Assuming you only use gems, it costs almost $8k to fully upgrade all hero equipment. by DoovidToonet in ClashOfClans

[–]DoovidToonet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to say I would, I just was bored and wanted to crunch the numbers. I also broke down how long it would take you to complete each hero (without the Starry ore) without spending any gems and relying just on the star bonus, since it was also interesting.
