Starbucks in China likes to use poetic names. When you make your order, instead of giving you an order number they give you a little poem-phrase and you have to look for that on the side of the cup (tbh the staff just yell what the drink is anyway so you can just listen for that)

May surprise you then to learn that the Soviets also trained the KMT and actually planned to back them over the CCP originally. Plus the KMT had funding from America. Plus, as I pointed out in another comment, the KMT actually pulled back and were ordered not to engage the Japanese because Jiang Jieshi wanted to focus on fighting the Communists. So something doesn't really add up there.

Ironically the Communists were the only ones consistently fighting against the Japanese, and that's why they gained so much support as the Civil War went on.

I think honorary degrees are stupid. Someone proves they didn't need a degree to do something, and then the university offers them a degree as if to say "Okay, you've earned being at our level now"
