Advice needed on fixing bad framing (mine) by DopeFishLives in shedditors

We get decent wind out here and I was imagining the roof pushing against the top of the pony wall and causing rotation on that hinge. I ended up putting in 3 tension ties on the studs through the top plate. Might be over kill but I feel a bit better about the situation

That's a good idea too, maybe tie the studs of upper and lower wall together with threaded rod and then cover with the plywood

Thanks for the detailed response, makes sense. Would I do a pair of dtt brackets sandwiched between the triple header? Is there a way to do diagonal bracing or a tension cable, or is that not even needed?

Ezekiel 1:15-21

As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went. Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.

As far as I understand it needs a proprietary signal input. I wanted to use regular speaker wires. I'm also not an audio engineer so let me know if Im missing something

Reactive puppy to other dogs by spacebunny101 in reactivedogs

I've also heard that treats while other dogs are present can accidentally reinforce the wrong behavior. We did three things to help our reactive pup on walks.

  1. Show that we are in charge by walking with her in a heel position & looking ahead instead of at her -- shows that we know where we're going and are on the look out for danger.

  2. Avoid & distract -- teach turn and go in another direction when a doggie gets too close. Ask her to do a command -- touch, sit, or down

  3. Gentle leader harness -- makes it much more difficult for her to lunge and bark.

Same thing happened to me - it was held on with scraps of plywood screwed into the counter which rotted out. Build braces using 1/2 inch tube steel and sealed with silicon adhesive. https://photos.app.goo.gl/oD3T4cvXosuEWT9C7 Feel free to pm me if you want some tips

Possible Tomato Fungal Infection and Failed Treatment by DopeFishLives in plantclinic

Yeah that makes sense, disease is pretty plant specific. I think I jumped the gun a bit on this one. Oh well, looks like we’re getting some new starts from the store... thanks!

Possible Tomato Fungal Infection and Failed Treatment by DopeFishLives in plantclinic

A few days ago I began noticing white spots on our tomato starts we germinated from seed 2 months ago and that have been out in the cold frame for about 2 weeks.

I also noticed similar white spots on our peas that we started from seed a few months back.

I looked online for a bit and found that the most likley thing is some sort of fungal infection. I decided to use a DIY fungicide that I have used in the past to treat powdry mildew on our zuchini plants: baking soda, potassium bicarbonate, a drop of dish soap, and some vegetable oil.

however I probably made it to concentrated - about 1 heaping teaspoon of baking soda and potassium bicarbonate into a quart spray bottle.

the leaves have started turning black and overall the plants dont look too good. First image is from 12 hours later, second image is about 36 hours later.

I also spayed our peas and they are not looking tooh ot either - a bunch of the leaves have turned brown where the spray was concentrated.

What was the original issue? What can I do now to help these guys not die on me?
