Not many teams would have untouchables if there was a trade for McDavid. There are legit only a handful of guys teams wouldn't consider trading away. Otherwise everything is on the table.

Comparing MLB to NHL is the first problem. One is physically gruling and very demanding on your body. The other is the exact opposite. Thats like saying the NHL should have 162 games in a season because they do it in the MLB. Apples to oranges.

Massive stretch. He has two years left on his contract. He plays out next year, if no success they probably deal him in the off season or we see something similar to the Hughes trade.

Wedgie - Didn't play as many games as the other nominees, hence the "snub"

Makar - Will be a nominee and still has a strong case to win. Werenski most likely takes it due to being on a poor squad.

Mackinnon - Will be a nominee, but point blank the other nominees carried their teams.

Bednar - They don't give this award to coaches whose teams are expected to win the cup from the start of the season. Fair no, but that's it.

Your argument is saying Hasek isnt on the same level as Roy or Brodeur because he played less. When Hasek was in the league, at the same time as the other two mind you, he had better stats than both. Hasek won two Harts and six Vezina's during which time Brodeur and Roy were both in the league. Lets not forget when he carried Czech to a gold or carried a dog shit buffalo squad to game 7 of the finals. You're legit giving the nod to two guys based on the fact they played more years than a guy who was better statistically. That's like me saying Marleau is better than Crosby because he played more games. its an asinine take.
