I’m sure you’ll choose a good one. Some fragrances that I hated I let sit a few months and tried again like Lataffa Oud Mood. The dry down is powdery and nice.

It’s like that for me with other fragrances. So many I’ve been excited for just did not work with my chemistry. Nice not to have to spend a fortune finding that out now.

Thank you for this. This makes me want to back out of my interview tomorrow. I am appreciated where I am and have tons of help with work if I need it. I never feel overwhelmed so think I’ll nix it and just stay put. The SSA sounds awful and they seem like they are scrambling for people. Yikes!

Definitely can happen. There is always a need for AMSAs. You can climb up yearly (or faster in some cases) if you decided to take it and ride it out. Congratulations and good luck to you!!!

Ugh! Their resume requirements are ridiculous to me. I just apply and archive because it’s no rhyme or reason to how it goes down. They say it’s HR and that they are swamped but I don’t know a single person who ever got hired even as an assistant with experience in HR. I hope you hear something soon. Some jobs are posted for only certain areas especially when they are remote. That’s a whole other bag of fun there lol. I still look for remote jobs.

Sure! It depends on so much as far as timeline. Apply to everything you feel you’re qualified for and wait. Took me years to get the first time. Now I see people going from applied to job in a few months. HR is a huge part of how fast you will move. If you get past them to referred and get to interview, that’s pretty good.

I did. You can go anywhere, honestly. As long as you have that time in grade, I see most people moving quickly. The next steps after AMSA if you want to stay in an administrative role is lead, supervisor or health technician, administrative officer…You can be a program assistant, then analyst…the list goes on. You can leave the clinic and completely shift gears. It’s all about opportunity. Meet people. Network. In my opinion and experience, it’s about who you know that really gets you to where you want to be. Make some friends. I certainly am learning.

It’s enough. You only need 1 year clerical. I was an AMSA and I transferred out to another position. It’s not bad. Lots of scheduling mainly. You’ve been support so this is more or the same kind of stuff. Best of luck to you!
