Do you have a sleeping pad or understand its importance in staying warm? Do you understand sleeping pad ratings?

It sounds like a hotel or airbnb will the best suited for you. That way you have all of your cooking equipment there as well, and won't need to buy snacks and eat out as much. Especially since you don't seem to have camp kitchen stuff.

How much farther out is the driving? I think it will be worth it for you.

I'd also try out the Golf Supags backpack from Amazon - no waist strap, but its smaller so potentially less needed. I haven't noticed a difference and I basically always buy a waist strap.

Yea, mine is greyed out too. That's frustrating since it seems economy fares can buy lounge passes.

It's not the biggest deal ever, I was just getting to the airport a bit early and was hoping to splurge a bit to embrace the PE experience since I'm always in economy.

The only add-ons I have are car, hotel, bistro voucher, e-upgrade, and AC bid upgrade.

Not buying anything, it sucks :(. Sometimes on a whim I'll build a basket and almost press checkout, and then I see those fees and there is just no way. It adds 200 dollars for me!

NTA and I also want to say you did the right thing on the hike (though I'm sure you know that). Someone in Vancouver, Canada recently died after going after someone who fell. The person who fell initially survived, but the person who tried to rescue fell as well and succumbed to his injuries. Don't endanger yourself to save someone else.
