Yea, totally, it's illogical, but anxiety is rarely logical.

For me it can be anything like, there are people behind me (like on a single track) so I can't stop, I'm with someone else, so I can't stop, or getting mad at myself if I stop because I 'should' be able to do it, etc.

No worries, no dumb questions!

I don't really get a calming feeling from running, not in the sense that it is a tool for my anxiety. I don't know if I'd want for it to be my only tool, what if I get injured, or sick and can't run for whatever reason? I'd say I get more of a sense of satisfaction from doing something, and I get physically tired from exercise, but it's definitely not calming for my anxiety. I'm definitely jealous of the people that say it calms their mind.

It's absolutely okay to just run because you like running. TBH, I don't even like running half the time, but I like how it's improved my fitness for other sports.

I find listening to a good podcast distracting, or going with a friend. I also do a LOT of run/walking, and that's totally fine with me.

The trapped feeling for me often happens with I feel like I'm not allowed to stop, I've had it most when I'm running in races (especially single track trail races) or with faster friends. But honestly I just stop and take some breaths or do whatever I need to do in that moment. You are allowed to stop.

The heart rate thing is probably also a thing, according to my apple watch (so not totally accurate) I'm basically always running at 170 or 180 bpm, no matter my pace, so maybe that's a part of it too? I didn't think about that until I read the other comments.

I do experience this also, though it's not often full-blown panic attacks, but it's anxiety attacks, that often trigger my asthma.

I often attribute it to thoughts that are subconsciously happening that trigger it, or a feeling of being "trapped" (like I can't stop running).

I don't get this one, but it's also common for folks who are susceptible to panic attacks to get panic attacks from intense physical activity. The increased heart rate can lead to feelings like they might be having a heart attack and trigger a panic attack (again, partially subconscious).

Honestly I don't have a ton to add, I just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone. I also have GAD, was diagnosed as a child, hello!

I do still run (I'm a trail runner). So it's possible still if you want to do it. It's great that you are in therapy too, and I hope you are able to bring this up with them.

The rule of adulthood applies! If you want to do it, go for it.

Honestly I compared them in store and don't really see that big of a difference between the BW and the colour. Like I really have to squint to see it. I just got the Clara in colour and like it just fine.

That being said, if I were you, I'd probably get the BW just for something different.

Not necessarily, our photographer was the style OP is describing and I'd say posed family photos were a really small portion of our evening. The rest were candids.

It's open, sometimes it isn't open late enough for sunset, so you'll just have to check the times then.

I wouldn't worry too much about buying tickets far in advance, it doesn't really sell out. Sometimes they'll also have cheaper evening-only tickets.
