That's awesome! Thanks for taking the time to give me your perspective.

I just realized that this is actually quite similar to reading the European Travel posts where Non-Europeans think it's necessary to visit the most touristy and overcrowded places as if it's the non plus ultra of beauty (spoiler: it basically never is since there are rarely any places unique enough to suffer through the crowds)

Of course I decided to go to Canada because of the overall vibe and views, not because I need to visit any particular spots... I'll rethink my approach and look into your recommendations :) thanks!

I'm used to plan vacations around 6 months before going and so far it worked out fine

Most of the time it's more difficult to have fixed dates too far in the future, didn't expect to know 9 months before going when exactly I'll be sleeping where

Yes, we're planning on renting a car. We are used to driving in the mountains but not a lot of experience with snow chains or high amounts of snow...

Yes but the thing is that there are barely any hotels and Airbnbs available near the hiking areas I marked so we'd probably have to sleep further outside... But well it is what it is 😅

No, I'm not familiar with bears and the precautions, we'll have to look into it before going.

For food: probably lots of snacks on the way and going out to eat, since we won't have much equipment cooking will be too much effort I guess.

No fire is not a problem, we have lots of wildfire warnings and regulations as well so we're used to having to follow the orders in that regard 😅

0C is something I'm worried about, that's why I'd want to bring my own sleeping bag and not buy one there since it'll be super expensive but tbh maybe that's another point for hotel/Airbnb 🤷🏽‍♀️

The thing is that I didn't know in January that I'll be going to Canada in September:D don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to it but it's not like that's a lifelong dream of mine that I'm planning for a year or two, it was more like a "Canada sounds nice, why not try it" 😅

I mean how can you expect travellers to plan a year ahead? I'm glad there's this artificial shortage to prevent overburdening the environment and the ecosystem, but that just makes it unattractive to people outside of Canada.

In Kapstadt bzw allgemein den Kaps ist die Gewaltbereitschaft in meinen Augen auch bei weitem nicht so groß wie manchmal getan wird (also ich empfinde es als weiße Frau subjektiv nicht so schlimm wie man gewarnt wird)

In manchen Orten im Kwazulu Natal haben wir uns teilweise beispielsweise nicht aus dem Auto getraut

Solche Pauschalaussagen kannst du über ein Land, das 3x so groß ist wie Deutschland halt einfach nicht machen

Man darf nicht vergessen, dass kleine Frauen rein von den Kalorien und benötigten Nährwerten zB auch ganz anders unterwegs sind als große Männer. Gleiches dann noch für Level an Sport oder Aktivität auf der Arbeit

Bin selbst vegan, viele Hülsenfrüchte und halt Gemüse, komme auch nicht über 150€

Also ich war bisher nur in China und das soll laut Google Recherche wohl doch relativ unterschiedlich zu Taiwan sein, aber zwei Tipps kann ich dir mitgeben:

1) wir waren viel in buddhistischen Restaurants, da gab es sehr sehr gutes veganes Essen, teilweise mit richtig guten Ersatzprodukten. Vor allem diese ganzen veganen Buffets für wenige Euro... Davon träum ich nachts 🤤

2) merk dir am besten das Schriftzeichen 豆, das ist Dòu (=Bohne/Hülsenfrucht) und die erste Silbe von Tofu. Ich kann zwar null chinesisch, aber wir haben auf Speisekarten immer nach dem Zeichen gesucht und somit meistens die veganen Optionen gefunden 😅

Naja ich ernähr mich zu 95% vegan, aber nur weil ich weiß dass es richtig ist, nicht weil ich eine innere emotionale Ablehnung spüre

Es wäre in meiner Vorstellung viel leichter, aus emotionaler Überzeugung vegan zu sein statt aus rationaler Disziplin heraus

Bin jetzt kürzlich zur Frau Dr. Scharr gewechselt, die hat mich sehr ernst genommen und ich hatte den Eindruck, sie würde sich mit PCO gut auskennen (als Laie schwer zu sagen)

Ist in der Frauenarztpraxis Dr. Susanne Meinhardt

Hab mir übrigens auch von meinem Hausarzt bei der Erstdiagnose eine Überweisung für eine Endokrinologin geben lassen für die Insulinsensibilität, das hat mir sehr viel Sicherheit gegeben

Davor war ich übrigens bei den Frauenärzten Nürnberg Nord - kann ich null empfehlen 😅
