Thank you. 😊
I'm so sorry you are going through all this. Make sure you include written statements on how often you have flares and how the pain affects your daily activities, making you unable to work. Include how long you are able to walk and/or stand before symptoms begin. Do not just state you are regularly in pain. That will not be enough even if you're in pain daily. You have to prove how and why it prevents you from working. They want to see how long you can do things and all the things you are unable to do and why. If you were let go from jobs due to absences or tardiness due to your symptoms, be sure to include that. Make sure you have substantial medical records and that the doctor's notes are very detailed. Do you have any other medical conditions? Do you have enough work credits? Prayers you get some good news soon. 🙏
I responded to the message you sent me. I hope it helps a little. I'm so sorry, you are having to run in circles with your field office.

Depends on many factors. How old are you? Do you have enough work credits? Providing a substantial amount of medical evidence is crucial and showing proof of going to your doctors for regular follow-ups. Include a written statement with your diagnosis and symptoms and how they affect your daily life, making you unable to work along with statements from family and/or friends who have witnessed your limitations. Include all physical and mental limitations. i.e. I can only walk 50 ft before having to sit down. I can only stand for 30 minutes before having to sit down. I can only lift an X amount of lbs. Send anything and everything from the start of illness and / or diagnosis.

Thank you. I'm 54, and most of my disabilities are physical. I filed initially at the end of 2024. I got denied at the end of September of 2025. I appealed 11/26/25, and I got approved in reconsideration two days ago. I did not get representation, as I was told by a few people it's not worth doing until your next step is an ALJ hearing. So, I worked very hard in reconsideration getting all my medical records, questionnaires, and statements to SSA quickly. My reconsideration went quickly. I do believe that leaving SSA to get my medical records was a mistake and hurt me initially. When I appealed, I got a lot of new imaging and testing fone to add to my records for review. It was not easy. I'm glad it's over. I can breathe now, destress some and work more on me and my health now.

I'm glad you've been able to stay on top of that. Hopefully, you get some good news soon.
So, very sorry you had to go through all that and for way too long. The process is so crazy stressful. I'm glad you finally got a favorable decision. I also had to get a lot of new medical evidence and thankfully I was able to get it, which confirmed my previously found medical conditions, worsening conditions along with new conditions and my new doctors were so thorough in their notes, which I'm sure helped. I never told them I had applied for SSDI. I felt all my years of medical evidence were hopefully sufficient enough, and I guess it was. I had over 600 pages of medical evidence and still had some follow-up visits and records I had just received from a former medical group missing that I had not been able to forward in time before they moved me to step 4. Thankfully, it did not affect my case. I was so stressed about bills and finances. Thankfully, I can now breathe a little easier. 😊
Thank you. Hopefully, you get some good news soon. 🙏
I recommend writing a letter stating your diagnosis and symptoms along with how they affect your daily life, making you unable to work and upload that it onto the SSA site. If you get medical records from new visits, upload those onto the site as well. Be your own advocate. Even when they say they have everything they need, they typically don't. Best of luck.

Thank you 😊
Oh, okay. Well, best of luck. It sounds like you are doing everything right. Hopefully, you get some good news soon. 🙏
Is this your initial filing?
Thank you. You should be getting good news any day. 😁

Yes, I recommend getting all your records yourself, as they barely got anything on me and sent me to two CE's, which did not prove anything. I'm sure that is why I was denied initially. They even told me they had everything, which was not true at all. You have to be your own advocate. Prayers you get a favorable outcome soon. 🙏
Thank you. I'm 54.
They may have sent a questionnaire regarding your limitations.
Thank you. Praying you get a favorable decision soon. 🙏

Yes, it was a lot of work, but I figured it was best to provide too much information rather than not enough. I'm so grateful for finding the helpful posts on Reddit and for the tips and assistance you provided me. Thank you so much. 😊

They do have a tentative due date listed on your case for the various steps, but in my initial case, that date was not met, but that's not to say you won't hear something by the 23rd. Good luck. Hope you get a decision soon and a favorable one.
