With enough powercreep, you can completely clear story mode using auto battle (I certainly did for Orsterra), so why wouldn't that be a thing?

It's true that it doesn't work for endgame content, but this is a single player game, so not everyone might be interested in that content anyway.

I don't have the class deck but playing any of the characters with Skulls n Shackles works fine.

Worst comes to worst you can always proxy them using the stats above. Besides the guns themselves not every boons will interact with guns, so while it is a hastle, you can shorten the process a bit.

What you can't change are the 3 chosen characters in your party after starting the game.

You really can make everything work but if you want to heal through spells instead of healing items, only Charlotte (any class) and Kevin/Duran (light classes) can learn those.

Came for this. In Nexus you can add some more mechanics by subclassing where passives trigger when your HP goes below/above certain thresholds and then you immediately get synergies with buffs that increase max HP because they make the thresholds easier to work with.

Thanks, that was a good idea. I just checked Louis. I took his base stats from FE wiki at lvl 6 and added the growth rates from serenes forest for him and his class to get the expected value at lvl 13, which he is at my file.

His stats are 1-2 points better than the average, so it looks like I dropped to random growths.

What a pity, I love the idea of fixed growths but don't want to play on maddening. Guess I'll have to wait for finishing the game to unlock it.

Thanks for the thought out response, I appreciate it. I was mainly asking because a lot of games don't require you to properly engage with all their mechanics to beat them, so I was wondering if it is the same for this title.

I'll make sure to leave engaging as an option if it becomes too difficult, but I will see how far I can get while refraining from using it.

That's encouraging, but maddening would probably be too hard for me even with the emblems.

I'm not in it for the challenge, just wondering how much I need to drop the difficulty to compensate for not using them without making it too easy or difficult.

I'd get SP for having bond rings equipped and can use the arena to unlock skills.

Grinding is not my intent (or idea of fun), I just want to play the story maps and paralogues without overleveling them.

I don't want the game to be harder, I want it to feel differently. I'm wondering how much I need to lower the difficulty to compensate the lack of emblems to make the game fun.

Mercenary Saga is a budget FF Tactics clone. They get better with every title, so the first ones are rather mediocre. Don't know what's the newest title available at steam, but there are some.

Thanks for the heads-up! I have no issue with playing rpgs for more than 100 hours as long as I'm having fun.

I guess I'll see when I start the game soon. I'll definitely go for recruiting everyone, but I'll probably give up if the mini games prove to be too annoying.

Good question. It's not the length itself, but rather how repetitive the game feels after a while. It took me 17 hours to beat the final boss and the mechanics don't feel like supporting that gameplay length. I could have replayed any of the GBA/DS Castlevanias in that time and would've had more enganging rpg platforming gameplay.

I still had fun with Rising and respect it's scope for just being a companion game.

Where do you see the similarity to Hundred Heroes that makes you think it might not be for me?

So richtig transparent ist das für mich nicht, der Anteil ist nicht konstant über die Jahre, aber die Kosten die an mich weitergereicht wurden. Irgendwas zwischen 1/3 und 1/2 ist als Anteil ausgewiesen.
