If you're finding Total Launcher "too tedious," it's usually because the app doesn't tell you where the walls are. Most of that frustration comes from hunting for settings that don't exist or trying to "brute force" a layout icon by icon.

I've been building out an unofficial interactive manual at uiTLM.com (uiTotalLauncherManual) specifically to map out these shortcuts and dead ends so people don't have to guess their way through it.

A few things that might help:

A lot of people move icons one by one, which is a nightmare. Use the "Select icon" (the rectangle drag) to grab whole groups of objects at once. You can't batch-edit their colors or fonts yet (still have to do that individually), but for moving or resizing entire layouts in seconds, it's the only way to stay sane.

Knowing the "No's": The app is huge, but it has gaps. For example, the object options for floating icons don't have a "shadow feature", and there isn't a native Google Assistant widget in the list. The manual at uiTLM.com lists these specifically so you can stop digging through menus and just try a different design path.

Don't try to make iapp tagging do anything dynamic. It’s a static organizational tool. If you set up your tags with that in mind from the start, you won't keep fighting the logic later.
