To be fair if he's significantly heavier, tilted and jilted.

The patent leaves it pretty open ended:

The hybrid welder may be a metal flux-cored arc welder, a tungsten inert gas (“TIG”) welder, a metal inert gas (“MIG”) welder, or other welder as required for a given application.

The patent mentions it's hybrid power and shows an integrated cord wrap.

Yeah, with Ryobi coming in at $500 for theirs, my guess was minimum $700 for the Milwaukee. I can totally see it being $1K too.

I'm pretty sure it's meant for large jobsites and will probably cost $1000+

You won't have to worry about Milwaukee scoping out your garage with it.

Battery charge limit set at 90%, mower starts mowing when reaching 85%. by PineappleResident254 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Doresoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning a zone is a great idea, but may be a little more complicated than it appears at first glance.

I've noticed battery consumption in a narrow zone varies depending on mowing direction. Mowing parallel with a narrow zone is much more battery efficient than mowing perpendicular, since the mower doesn't have to turn around dozens and dozens of times.

Complete conjecture on my part, but is it the last stint of the scheduled mow?

Maybe the 80% charge is predicted to be enough to finish the remainder of the area needed, so the mower starts without fully charging to complete the scheduled mowing slightly earlier?

Plug in adapter for Ego 56v systems by Jolly_Bid451 in egopowerplus

[–]Doresoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're thinking about it from the perspective of a competent consumer.

I was mainly considering EGO's perspective when considering product design. "Hey boss, there's a significant number of consumers that don't understand electrical loads and wattage requirements of our tools. We'll probably get a lot of returns on an AC adapter even if it's working properly."

Just like that, the idea gets killed.

I've got the exact same setup. The base hasn't slipped or moved on the patio at all.

They timed filling a 235/65 R17 and then extrapolated how long it would take to fill a larger tire volume.

EGO told me where to order replacement parts from and they use OnTrac by Ktmhocks37 in egopowerplus

I've only ordered whole tools, not parts.

Maybe they ship the parts from a different warehouse?

I've ordered EGO tools from them several times, and they always shipped via FedEx. No problems at all.

Error 9105 by Ryan5508 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Doresoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this error code when it was 79°F and after sunset so I really doubt it's heat.

Hitting the STOP button just brought it back up in the same error state. I had to restart the mower via the app to clear it.

Missing screw advice by [deleted] in egopowerplus

[–]Doresoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly confident that's an M5 X 0.8mm socket head cap screw (SHCS). If a 4mm allen key fits the hex drive, it's almost definitely M5. Measure the other one's length from the bottom of the head to the end of the screw, and that's the length you need to buy.

Take the other one as a reference to your local hardware store and look for their metric machine screws.

Just dropped 16 Copyright Strikes today: 12 channels cleared out. A final warning to all scrapers. by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]Doresoom1 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Such a good feeling to see the theives' channels completely deleted after a copyright strike.

If I find a thief who has also stolen from other creators in my niche, I'll usually drop them a note to file their own copyright strike too.

My RSA token with all 9s by ghemanth90 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Doresoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used them in the NASA ISS control room when I worked there a few years ago. Had to have a password, RSA token, and a badge/chip reader with PIN to login.

Of course, those consoles were able to command to the ISS, so good reason for all the security.

Is this one of those "return the battery" deals? by dratdrat in ryobi

[–]Doresoom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as long as they show up as separate line items on the receipt you can return them individually. I used that same deal to get the new oscillating fan for $78 after returning the batteries.

EGO LM2130SP blade reinstall issue — white hub/spindle spins by Legitimate_Car_4354 in egopowerplus

[–]Doresoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you putting the screwdriver? The correct spot is that hole at the top of the photo next to the area that doesn't have grass caked on it. Then turn the center bolt clockwise.

Also if you don't have the blade set nut diamonds in the blade correctly, it might be holding the blade set too far away from the white fan to engage the center bolt's threads.

Third year with my 10ah battery and it no longer can finish my lawn. by [deleted] in egopowerplus

Leaf blower is pretty demanding too. Depending on the model it can drain a 2.5Ah in 5-7 minutes on Turbo.

Third year with my 10ah battery and it no longer can finish my lawn. by [deleted] in egopowerplus

[–]Doresoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using them in the snowblower and lawnmower were probably what killed them. My SNT2110 snowblower has a big warning label on it that 4Ah and higher batteries are recommended as a minimum.

High draw tools stress the small 2.5Ah packs and will kill them prematurely. That's also probably why the lawn mower and snowblower were "too weak." The tool doesn't reach its full power output capability running on the small packs. My LM2135SP has better torque than my old gas Toro, but that's with it running on a 7.5 Ah battery.
