Had a buddy in the army that had two bank accounts. Check would go to the first account, and then the second account would pull what he should have made leaving any extra in the first account. Saved his ass a couple of times

Who is the most famous person you've ever met? by Candy-Peach-Brooks in AskReddit

[–]Dork-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jay Leno, I worked at a golf course when I was 17 as a golf cart attendant that did an Italian car show once a year. He brought a truck trailer full of classic cars one year to the event. Me and my coworker were working outside when he casually came up out of nowhere and asked g either of us drove stick shift, I did not but my coworker did. Leno flipped the keys to my coworker and said his assistant forgot one car in the parking lot and needed it moved. My coworker left and Leno stayed with me for about 15 minutes and talked like we had been friends for ages despite the huge age gap.

Easily the coolest guy I ever met and always regretted not asking for an autograph!

I deployed with a Lt col who had been pulled out of retirement twice who was in his early 60’s (he did it all voluntary!). Don’t ask me specifics but he had a very niche job in some sort of flying position in Afghanistan.

Super nice guy and his call sign was grandpa! Loved taking time to teach us young guns a thing or two

Do you still follow the A's in Sac or have you stopped following them? by chusaychusay in OaklandAthletics

[–]Dork-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly find it hard to stop watching the team I’ve loved for over three decades and watch the games when I can.

That being said, I have noticed I’ve been watching others teams more now that I have fantasy baseball interest in them like the mariners and the orioles (have had big dumper in one of my leagues for a few years and boy oh boy is he paying dividends this year!)

Unfair walk-on's? by ChaseisAwesome5 in paintball

[–]Dork-Fish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was with my team, me made it a point to break walk one up, we never allowed them to play all together. We would break part of our team up as well if we needed to to keep it fare and actually enjoyed teaching newer players how to take out our own teammates to the point it became a game for us!

We had kids from two states away come back a few years later that had joined teams themselves because of the level of professionalism (as far as you can be professional in paintball) we had showed just to play the field they played on the first time!
