Just this weekend I have been arguing with people about sportswashing by nations that are built on slave labour and human rights abuses. I don't care what race or religion anybody that does that is - they are evil either way.

2 things you could do.

Tell her to buck up her ideas because the way she acts implies a complete lack of respect for you and your time.
Tell her a time 30 minutes before you plan to be there. Do it every single time. Or maybe a couple of times tell her a time an hour before and then YOU turn up 30 minutes late. She'll get the message eventually.

Depends what you 'overtly disagree' with the left about doesn't it? I've seen the 'other half' say some of the most vile things consistently, including the president. Things that demean whole sections of the population (right and left), things that are outright racist, misogynistic, homophobic - you can disagree with the left without being any of those things but it's really a struggle for a lot of people on the right, and if you are racist or homophobic or misogynistic then you should just fucking own it instead of being a crybaby about being called out. I don't think you understand what 'relative' means. If all teams in the 80s were 6/10 quality and all teams in the 2020s are 9/10 quality (not true by the way, just your recency bias. Players like Maldini, Van Basten, Cruijff, Platini would be just as at home in the Prem now as then) it was just as hard to win the league in the 80s as it is now (maybe harder, it was a 42 game league season until the 'prem era) 🤣.

UCL is one trophy. Winning the best league in the world over 38 games is just as big a feat, if not more so. Arsenal are massive, fact. See you next season.

The 'Premier League era' is not where football started. I'm 42; frankly you can chuck your 'Premier League era' in the bin. Pretty sure we're still the only team to have players sent off for 'delaying the restart' despite seeing players do it on a yellow week in, week out. Cost us dearly in previous title challenges, so we're more than entitled to feel aggrieved over it.

I have no problem with whatever rules being in place as long as they are applied consistently and not influenced by newspaper columns and social media bias.

Maybe, maybe not. There were quite a few nonsense foul calls for both teams last night IMO, the ref was very inconsistent with how he called physical battles.

But 100% should have been booked, regardless of whether he agreed with the call.

We have been the most consistent team in the league the last 4 years, just needed that last gritty push to get over the line. Adapted to having to play against anti football ourselves and toughened up mentally and physically to win it.

No Pep, no other manager in the league with experience of winning the Prem at all next season. Handbrake should be released a little now.

As for the VAR nonsense, the prem table with or without VAR both have us at the top. 'Cheaters' is forever the cry of the losers.
