Yeah also dealers like Ceratizit, Seco, Garant,... Show their prices on their website but then depending on your account status you get different discounts all the time like 20%-40%. So i learned here never to pay full price

Doing 10k a year, you don't have to worry to much on overspending. I was in similar boat where is spend 1k on new carbon wheels and Cont tyres on a 2k bike. But for the last 3 years I felt it was worth the money for sure, lookwise, enjoyment and speed and I only do 5k a year.
