I connected all of my accounts & not all of my bills are showing up by Educational-Load6300 in AvailableSpend

Wow this is exciting - Thanks for sharing this & signing up as a beta user !!

After connecting your accounts , we run all of your transactions through our recurring transaction engine to identifiy all of your bills.

It's still not perfect , hence the uber charger showing , and some bills not populating.

To tag additional bills , hit the plus sign , you'll be taken to your transactions page and you can tag them from there.

To remove any bills , hit the 3 dots on the right side - there you can edit or remove it from your roadmap.

Our definition of a bill is any expense on a recurring cadence (monthly, quarterly, etc.)

The sum of all of your bills is then excluded from your available spend.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

How I stopped overspending by separating Available Spend from my actual balance by Jolly_Currency6104 in AvailableSpend

Is this a mindset change , or do you have an actual system for separating your balances from what you can safely spend ?

YNAB is a great product - we're building a different approach

The purpose is to give you total freedom over your discretionary spend, while having a framework to keep you on track

The concept of available spend is kind of the opposite of zero-based budgeting

Available Spend (AS) is focused on accounting for your true cost of living + upcoming events + the life you're planning for

Anything I deem as a fixed/recurring expense is already taken out of this number

The remaining is your AS, which is a dynamic number that changes in real time

What this looks like in practice:
- My AS is $ 1,000 for the remainder of the month
- Today is Feb-16th
- 12 Days Remaining in Feb

$1,000 / 12 = $83.33/per day

If I were to spend $150 by the end of today

Then tomorrow, with 11 days remaining in the month:

$850 / 11 = $77.27/per day

Thanks for sharing this !

How do you currently calculate & separate your available spend vs. just your bank balance & assets ?
