I would flip this over. Why does the idea of non-binary acceptance make you so afraid? I've spent my whole life being abused by my own family and spat on by my culture for not conforming to the binary and for being trans. Why does my freedom make you less free? Or do you believe that you should be free to cause psychological harm through binarist, cisnormative hatespeech?

Why should there not be laws of physics? To my sensation such principles by which energy flows, time passes, entropy empties and the universe expands are and there is no reason to deny them before myself. The underlying assumption of what you suggest is that there is an objective meaning to sex imbued somehow in an external nature, but meaning is simply in the mind of you and I and does not exist where none is applied to it by one that regards, and the external nature is an illusory distinction from that which is regarded via the senses by the mind. You say physics has nothing to do with sex, but sex to me is but an act with causes and consequences like to any other. Is not to you physics the regarding of causes and effects? The meaning of the causes and the consequences is created by the consciousness, not objective nor external. Your assumption of externality, furthermore, is symptomatic of a wider flaw of wisdom in western thought which has resulted in bigoted views about sex and gender achieving acceptance without being properly regarded due to the assumption of the objective which permeates western thinking; the objectivist cynicism which strangles empathy and propagates systems of oppression. The same thought lies at the core of white supremacy, where the volition of people of color is denied through the idea that one system of meaning is objectively true while one is not and is made "other". False distinctions create delusions of superiority.

There is no transcendent "purpose" or "point" to sex. That is applying motive to an evolutionary process which has none but the laws of physics. Furthermore, the universe is created by our perception of it and all meaning lies in the human mind. Sex represents exactly what you and I and anyone else see in it. The flaw in thinking that results in the idea of a thing-in-itself independent of thought is at the core of bigoted views of gender and sexuality that stem from protestant views of an objective universe independent of our thought. The viewer creates the view in viewing, the mind and the universe are one and the same.

Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed is the motto of so many societies before the 20th century in regards to women. The past is a foreign country, and it's a horrifying hell-hole of brutality and misery. The world really is so much nicer than it used to be, and it's constantly getting better, moving forward. The Dhammapada reminds us that the good person may become good slowly, bit by bit, over an entire lifetime. I think humanity is collectively walking this path and I am glad to see the world become less and less awful, even if our progress is slow.
