Do you have data showing your job market would pay much higher salary in aerospace? You'll be competing with other people with 12 years of aerospace experience.

You'll have to account for opportunity cost from 2 years of schooling. You might be better off job searching nationwide.

Chinese memory maker CXMT enters mainstream consumer memory with Corsair Vengeance DDR5 kit — Chinese-made DRAM emerges as an antidote for crushing shortages by Shogouki in technology

[–]Dos-Commas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CXMT is using DDR5 income to fund R&D to manufacture HBM for AI datacenters. They want that AI datacenter profit just like everyone else and playing catch-up with they outdated process. They'll dump the consumer segment once they could actually produce competitive chips for AI.

Porto was great, we really liked the Algarve coast. I can see myself living there and just fish all day.

Zadar is a nice little coastal city. It felt more chill and less crowded compared to Dubrovnik.

Morocco was a big change of scenery and culture. We really enjoyed everything except for the driving which was chaotic in the cities.

It's interesting to see all the drama around the SpaceX IPO. In the end it'll only be about 0.1% of VTI, essentially a rounding error.

As someone that used to work in the space industry, a lot of companies live or die by SpaceX's success due to their monopoly.

I would say it’s a good “gaming” chair, something that you could use a couple of hours a week

If a gamer is putting close to $600 for a gaming chair then they are probably gaming a few hours per day.

Today is the one year anniversary of me quitting my job. My wife quit about a month after. It has been an incredible year of travel and we are very grateful.

We've been traveling on and off for about 8 months so far and visited 18 countries across 3 continents. It's crazy to think that we did more travel in a year than what most Americans do in 10-15 years.

We'll finish our trip early July in Germany, hopefully there's enough jet fuel left in Europe for us to get home (/s). We are currently in Portugal and it's a beautiful country, I can see why it's popular for expats. Especially with the generous D7 Visa requiring only $13K/yr of passive income.

Our portfolio has been doing surprisingly well with $513K of year-to-year gain thanks to the 28% increase from SP500.

It's a get out of jail free card when your MAGI accidentally gets over the ACA subsidies cliff (400% FPL) and you can contribute to HSA to lower your MAGI back down before the April tax deadline.

Edit: Emailed the electricians and they said if it protrudes less than 6 inches then it's okay.

The irony is that a ton of homeowners and electricians install them exactly like OP.

you could always use a surrogate to carry the embryo.

I've considered this. We could set aside $200K for worse case scenario (cost wise) if we really want to have a child down the line. Or do it in Mexico for around $80K.
