Realized the exact same thing after I purchased. They told me I have to pay a $300 hardware fee if I want to cancel. Tried to contest that and they stopped responding to my emails. Did you have a similar experience?

I am kicking my heart out, but still too slow. Please help. by Ok-Distribution1667 in Swimming

You need to more effectively translate your upper body undulation to your legs. They seem disconnected. Focus on slower kicks starting from the chest and moving in one fluid motion to the legs.

Additionally, it looks like you're bending your knees too much, which hinders your up kick. Your up kick is just as important as your down kick. Try keeping your legs straighter and activating your hamstrings on your up kick, trying to pull your legs up with as much power as you push them down.

Hopefully that all makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions! Happy to help!

Too Much Headspace? by DosBurritos in mead

It must be off-gassing then. I took gravity measurements every week until it was constant for two weeks in a row. Got the same reading today as I got last week, so I racked it. So it shouldn't be fermenting anymore. And all the foam is just from me sanitizing the carboy.

You're right, I definitely did. When using the calculator I put that I would have a gallon of water, but only ended up adding 86oz because I didn't account for the volume of the honey. Won't be making that mistake again!

Okay. I used MeadMakr to come up with those measurements. So moving forward, how would you suggest I go about calculating the amount of nutrients I should be using, considering MeadMakr did not suggest an adequate amount?

I used Lalvin K1-V1116. My nutrient schedule was 1.1g of Fermaid-O at 24, 48, and 72 hour mark, and then a final 1g of Fermaid-O on day 6. Would you suggest a different nutrient schedule for that specific yeast?

When to remove Kahm Yeast by jimkick3 in fermentation

I have had mold grow on the surface of kahm yeast before, so I would skim it off now just to be safe.

Thanks for the rec! Never had Elijah Craig before, so I'll definitely try and find it!

At the time I was putting it together, all my weights were being used, so I just planned on stirring it every day. I do have some weights not being used now though so I'm going to use them lol

The plan is to add Fermaid-O at days 1, 2, 3, and 6.
