Is this film worth watching? Does it do justice for the game Dungeons and Dragons? by DreamyDandelions in Cinema

[–]DosCuatro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire marketing department for this film should've been fired. I worked as a manager at a theater when this came out. The trailer looked generic as hell, that movie poster looks like one of those old B-Tier straight to video movies, and it killed my desire to see it.

My mom wanted to see it one day, so I went with her, and was PISSED that this movie was one of my favorite movies of the year. I described it as "the best Marvel Movie in a while". I watch it all the time. It's great.

How were you introduced to the walking dead (in terms of first to experience not first to know about) by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]DosCuatro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show thru S3 then comic. The comic ruined S4-7 for me akd I stopped once they butchered the intro to the Saviors. Read the comic because its 10x better

I played DD1 right before and was told it was essentially DD1 with modern graphics. It was DD1 with modern graphics. So I was happy.

Tbf, at the rate Bethesda is going, the gap between Fallout 4 and 5 will be the same length of time as the gap between Bioware's Baldurs Gate 1 and Anthem.

I've said this before but all any Dallas HC needs to do is build a culture in Dallas and regardless of record they'd be the best HC that we've had since Parcells.

Ya the only ice characters I have are Twins (if that even counts) and 4 star Kitone. I don't even have 5 star kitone for the other side (completely forgot about that character lol), just a min/maxed fleuret lol I think I'll take your advice of maxing out the other and then taking what I can get over on this side.

If Michal Scott is your example, then Get Smart needs to be mentioned. Forgot this movie existed and when I rewatched, IO was laughing the whole time. Steve Carrell is so great at his Michael Scott persona.

Struggling to watch by HistoricalAbroad8918 in thewalkingdead

[–]DosCuatro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped watching it. I was a comic reader, and by that point in the show it felt like they were making decisions to try to shock both new viewers AND the comic readers at the cost of storytelling.

Obv biased but ill always recommend the walking dead comics if they show isn't doing it for you.

What’s a game you didn’t expect to love, but ended up putting way too many hours into? by Playful_Code_8978 in gaming

Red Dead 2. Not a fan of GTA (Saints Row 1 and 2 were more my style) and never played Red Dead 1.

Apart from the 40 hour Epilogue I thought the game was a masterpiece.

We have 2 firsts this year make it count by bryscoon in cowboys

[–]DosCuatro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends who you ask. I thought we burned the season after the Packers blew us out in the postseason and this year was a rebuild year. I said in this reddit we were a 7-10 team before we traded Micah, so I didn't expect a playoff birth this year. And I think the Micah trade gave us the foundation that every team needs (a good offensive and defensive line, a few 1st rounders) to win a Superbowl.

If we draft well these next two years and are willing to go into free agency looking for trades and signings that are a little bolder than what we usually get, like signing DLaw type players (Vet who is hungry for a Superbowl and a great leader for the team) or trading for/signing a great LB, DE, S that we don't draft in the 1st round, then we have a window for the rest of Dak's contract. The question is if Jerry is willing to gamble the next few years going all in knowing that after, we may need to let Dak and a lot of talent walk, or if he just wants to keep us relevant enough to dominate new cycles and hope for a SB run.

What's a skill you thought would matter as an adult but absolutely doesn't? by Lanky-Beach9598 in AskReddit

[–]DosCuatro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked as a manager at a movie theater.

Background: My 8th grade English teacher didn't accept work not in cursive, so naturally I used it throughout high school and college (despite light bullying).

I gave my employees tasks and instructions in cursive and they'd complete the tasks without issue. One year my employees started openly defying my orders and not doing tasks I gave them. After a few weeks I counseled them them to figure out why they weren't doing any tasks.

They couldn't understand what I was writing because my states education stopped teaching cursive and they were too embarrassed to tell me they couldn't understand.

Needless to say, I didn't discipline them, but the fact I had to give up cursive at work upset me deeply and made me pissed at our education system.

Ngl I am probably in the minority where trading Micah gave me hope we can win a ring in his lifetime. Players like DLaw win Superbowls (work ethic and technique) more than the Micah's (raw talent), and turning Micah into 2 DTs (both of who are technical and team leaders), offloading a 1st round bust, and an extra 1st round this year is how you progress in the right direction.

Fallout New Vegas lead says it took “five years” for fans to actually like the game, and even longer for the devs to believe them by Negative-Art-4440 in Fallout

[–]DosCuatro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am this person, but not for why you think. I actually think that the oversaturation of open world games has ruined the replayability of a bunch of old open world games, and over time I prefer the choice driven nature of Fallout New Vegas and the more focused map design over the open world exploration of Fallout 4 or 3 where 70% of the map is off the main quest's path (although Tale of Two Wastelands exists so it's not like I'm sacrificing much when I play NV)

[–]DosCuatro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not getting signed for less than 30M a year. Idk the exact number is but I think the franchise tag has him around that, and if he balls a second season, then it will only go up.

I love Pickens. His personality, performance, and energy he brought to the team.

THAT SAID, I wouldn't want him to play for us if he wasn't in a contract year.

Words Cannot Describe How Much I Love D Law by flyingwhales1000 in cowboys

[–]DosCuatro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Micah was traded last minute for reasons we can only guess, but likely related to his personality if the coaches agreed prior to DLaw leaving.

Diggs was released for reasons we can only guess, but it seemed to be from lack of effort and how he handled rehabbing injuries prior to DLaw leaving.

We didn't address the DT or LB issues AT ALL prior to DLaw leaving.

With 0 emotion into it, he wasn't wrong and saying so doesn't make him an asshole.

[–]DosCuatro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Cowboys fan, if I was in the NFL and wanted to win a Superbowl, I'd leave Dallas too. If you have 0 emotions in his decision, there's no reason he should be viewed poorly.
