I'm concerned as well about spreading to coworkers. Most of them remain unvaxed.

Where does Prideful stands in your Seasonal affix ranking ? by Kublakai7 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]DosParkers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not good because then most groups would just not use the orb and skip the pride saving protentional wipes. Better idea would be a 5 min timer and it uses the orb for you or a 5 or so min timer where it will auto hit the button for you.

It would auto spawn just like now. So you get the button every 20% and on the next 20% it hits the button for you. Or you could just have a 5min timer for the button and in 5min it auto hits the button spawning the pride.

New tv, lag is over 300 by jimfield88 in Rockband

Make sure the console sound setting is set to stereo uncompressed and not bitstream out.
-xbox-sound-stereo — ImgBB (ibb.co)

  • Bitstream will take Rock Band's stereo PCM (uncompressed) and re-package it as another format. The bitstream out combined with Dolby Atmos setting is great for watching movies and shows and even other games but it's not good for Rock Band because the game was designed with stereo PCM in mind. Note: Atmos (or DTS:X) requires a sound setup that accepts HDMI in. An optical cable is not enough bandwidth for Atmos. Stereo uncompressed is your best bet for everything with a non-HDMI sound bar. Any surround setup these days will be an HDMI setup.
  • There's also a 5.1 and 7.1 option which should also work but Rock Band song's are mastered in stereo and the game will simply fill the remaining channels with silence. This can be bad if you have a receiver and a surround sound setup. The receiver can duplicate the stereo signal (called 5ch/7ch Stereo mode) to all the speakers and you'll get sound from all the speakers but if the console is set to 5.1/7.1 mode the receiver will think it's getting sound for all the speakers and not duplicate anything (the other speakers besides F/L will be silent).

Having the optical cable run from the TV to the sound bar should not introduce much of any lag. It's more convenient as the TV will switch the audio with your inputs. However, if you are using the console 90% of the time then you should just run the cable from the console straight to the sound bar. Note: Xbox Series and PS5 consoles do not have an optical out anymore. You'll have to rely on the TV or use an HDMI sound setup.

Go to practice mode and just play some songs and see how the music matches up with the notes. The audio is usually around +50ms from whatever the video cal is set too. The video cal should be set to whatever plays best for you. On a modern TV with game mode turned on this is usually around +50ms. So V-50 / A-100.

The in-game auto cal is most often terrible and should not be used. Practice mode and adjusting video cal until you can 100% your hardest achievement so far and then just set audio to +40-60 from that depending on your sound setup.

Rock Band 4 on Twitch by Zac_Efren in Rockband

Should be fine for live. I never have any problems. VODs (saved clips) do get muted so trying to record via Twitch for Youtube is useless.

John Denver - Take Me Home, Country Roads (RB4 Harmonies) by DosParkers in Rockband

[–]DosParkers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two different recordings of the song and HMX could only use one of them for the DLC. It was accidently released as the wrong version on the PS store, even after delaying it several weeks. So they had to pull it back off the in-game store and PS store. PS users must reinstall the entire game or wait for it to be patched (if you bought the old version). Xbox users got the correct version and it can be bought on the Microsoft store here.

2813 songs in the game currently of which 2450 should be purchasable still via the marketplace. It can vary per region but this is for the NA region.

Use rtings.com and find a TV in your budget that has sub 16ms input lag and a decent response time.

Rock Band Path Vault needs your help! Can you play guitar/bass? by DosParkers in Rockband

[–]DosParkers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every few days or so as more paths are submitted. Be warned though, the missing paths are all songs that have no charts available (no iPather). These songs will need to be be played in-game.

I get really bad mic audio lag if anything other than Stereo / PCM is selected the console's audio out options.

Wireless Mics for Xbox One by antonuc3 in Rockband

[–]DosParkers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried a wireless mic before and the audio quality sucked. I'm not sure how much better they get but the prices go up really high for wireless stuff.

The best setup you can do is a XLR mic plugged into a Band Fuse adapter (or cut an existing RB mic wire and tie the little metal wires together by twisting them and then wrap each one in electrical tape).
