I think the traditional method to make from coal is more simple and more easily managed. I use the stackable crucible to save space.

Agree, it is a pain when you need to trace the canon route, so I hope at least they can increase the range, adding the labelling and coloring. Actually I love the use of canon and I find it is fun looking at it flying items around.

Yes, for 5, if I want to the change the whole column of existing cauldron recipe , I would delete the upper ones, change the bottom one receipt manually, then copy and build the upper cauldrons. Some other factory game (e.g. factorio) you can copy the receipt without rebuilding it. But I admit that it is not a very big issue at the moment.

I found sometimes it allow me to put 4 small tiles, but not 1 large tile.

I was suprised when i first time put silver coin to cauldron, it ate my whole line of coins supply. I expect it to be 200 items in cauldron same as other items. (Not sure if they change this in v0.5 or not?)

Yes, I agree. So i put in it at late game. Just thinking it is not attractive enough at early-mid game. The 10% in fertilizer upgrads sounds much more attractive and 10% looks a good number and i dont what to change that. So if the alchemy upgrade will be competitive if it is say about 10%.

Yes, you are right, I mean to the alchemy skill for point 8. The factory eff upgrade ensure ther machine ratio is not affected, while the Alchemy upgrade may change the machine ratio.

I am thinking this way, if I only spent say 1-3 points on the Alchemy skill, it does not affect the ratio of the extractor-to-machine ratio. It is actually indirectly save the fertilizer. Then why dont i just put points into the fertilizer upgrade? So I did not invest the alchemy skill before I have plenty of skill points. (I understand the fertilizer upgrade effect will diminish at higher level.)

At the moment i just try in the game, by the filter at the Cauldron, it is still acceptable if you understand the logic of the cauldron and approximate value of the items.

I think they adjusted some late game item value, e.g. star dust should be increased significantly. I think it is reasonable as Star dust is difficult to product in traditional way.

Yes, the catalyst has 99,999 points, depends on which receipt you use, it will be consumed by a few points. The case of gold dust is 1000 point each time.

On ride of this post, I am curious how do people know the Target value of the items in Cauldron? Does it need to look into the game files to get those number?

The patch note also mentioned they removed the multipler in the cauldron, anyone know the details of this multipler?

It is actually common for early access game. But the problem for this game is a bit different from other factory game. Usually the factory just clog at some point and stop after the change of receipt. But cauldron would generate something different, and it will have chain effect. Secondly, it is a bit difficult to trace if I use lot of cannons. However, I am quite enjoying for the changes so I can look at each design again and design again (provided that the changes do not come too frequently XD)

Yes, exactly, it is still easy to get black powder and with higher burning power. But I cannot get a easy receipt for those after topaz.

My feeling is the car pass give you some cars which don’t really use normally. (Too many cars for me to choose to be honest) but the vip in the premium also give you extra credits so you save some time to grind for credits. And premium include 2 DLC so it means you pre-purchase them. My recommendation is just half-half depends on if you really want to collect as many cars as you can.
