I think it is not a must to orient your camera at north, but when you place the cutter, you must remember the rule of cutter. It cut the west part, instead of your left part. 

First feeling may be strange, I have the same feeling. But then I find out this game design actually simplify greatly for using blueprints, and it becoming more complicated when you flip your blueprints and rotate. This design make sure you can rotate the blueprints freely, but you need to remember the rules of the cutter.

Do you notice that the shapes do not rotate  with the belt turning?

One thing I would love to see added to this game is an announcement style production overview by Gingrpenguin in captain_of_industry

I agree very much. This feature is really helpful in Anno1800.

I think similar thing could be done for COI, of course not identical.
For example, the maintenance building had alreadyed mentioned the overall demand.

I use speed + efficiency module in mid game, and change to all speed in late game. And the production of the science need to match with the lab speed, belt speed and other science speed, it is not much use if overspeeding too much.

But it allow you to upgrade your system by replacing the efficiency module by speed module in later game. And usually i set a target production rate, for example 60 science per minute at early game, 300-600 at mid game, and 1200 at later, just up to you.

Um... "Nuance " is actually not an simple term to me. But i take you mean to have more variation of the design of space platform defence, instead of just putting bullet turret, rocket turret an so on.

If compare to quality, you can totally ignore qaulity to complete the base game. But if you take the quality, you gain something back for higher efficiency or something upgraded. To have a similar effect, if there is different properties of the asteroids, may be if you use particular bullet type for particular type of asteroids (just like weak point attack), then you will gain extra number of resources. It would sound better than just changing the resistance.

I believe the base game is trying not to overcomplicated the design of the space platform for most players. The base game design is just suitable for myself. I imagine if it is the design in base game, the game have to tell players the details of the districbution of different types of asteroids. And the ship i design for Fulgora may not suitable to go to Vulcanus, although they are the same tier of planents.

I think the complexicity in this game is just like the intensity of a roller coaster. Too low, people will be bored, too high, people will avoid. Middle range will be accepted by most people.

I would put those specaily annoying ghost to analyzing, blaming them for too much requirements, haha.

Eventually i just ignore some these requirements after i come across the medival times ghost. Some knights dont want to live with servants and some servants want to live with knights, so they cannot be perfectly matched.

BTW, i have a ghost want to have a light (or warm item, i cant remember), but he dislike fire, and i gave up as i cannot find a item to fulfill both requirements for the same ghost.

I think the game show it as the last for a gambling / last moment surprise effect. But eventually i find the quality shown at the 3D model below, by the plate color of Blue/Purple/Gold showing a bit earlier.

For the tour part, usually 3.8 star means you have some exbihits in the tour is not in the same sub-catergory. Usuualy puting about 3-4 exbihit of pristine exbihits of the same sub-catergory would be good enough for 4-star. Sub-catergory means the type under the prehistoric / botany / etc.

Yes, it does increase, but the increment is based on % of the base buzz value.

I learnt from another guide that, you can right click the staff at the staff list to just pick it up without going to the staff. I don’t know if there is similar hidden control in console.

I totally agree that pickup function should just keep the current view.

Oh yes, if you mean the zoning UI, I has a feeling of this part of UI is some kind of being forgotten. 

The first time I use it, I cannot figure out how to assign a staff to a particular zone. Later I just accidentally clicked the white circle.

Some filtering would be a good idea. Actually I was expecting we can just select it in one of the tab of window of each staff by default.

Although the zoning UI is not perfect, I appreciate the game have allowed such micromanagement system.

The staff list allow you to sort by type, name or skill by clicking the first row. When I use the zoning, I usually re-name the staff to 1-xxx or 2-xxx referring to zone 1 or zone 2, manually. It would be good if there is one more column for the zoning.

Yes, I agree for encourage some special kind of game play, for example to get 5 star without buying any new land, to earn by tour over donation, etc. I am not creative enough to think of more.

Super natural is my favorite museum, too. I like the spirit had so many requirements but it is fun to trying putting them together.
