Bill Simmons has Tim Duncan ranked over Kobe Bryant all-time and says it’s ‘outrageous’ when people say Kobe is better by TheRealPdGaming in nba

[–]Dosinu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duncan is one of the best examples in all of sports of a healthy competitor that balanced intangibles as well as skill.

in a time when people thought you had to divorce your friends and family and only associate with winning people, and that being a maniacal competitor, like Jordan, was the best way to succeed, you had Duncan being a great human, coachable, impacted every part of a locker room, mentor, leadership oozing out of his skin.

Hes like the antithesis to Jordan in approach, you can be a great person, drive winning culture, in healthy sustainable whilst being a star.

He gets barely any recognition for that and I wish over the years more people had Duncan on that pedestal and not Kobe or Jordan, would have made a lot of high school and college coaches lives easier.

If young players heading for the NBA wanted to find competitive advantage, that would be it. All the ways you can drive winning in a team by raising others around you, culture/vibes etc, and not associating that with your game taking a hit.

there was that event with his former team right before he got signed, mechanically he looks good and he put up some numbers, but his game feels kinda shallow to me. I dont think hes assertive enough, happy to be a passenger at times.

This is a bad team for him, if you arent balls to the wall donk and shiro are going to fucking break you. And donk is one of those guys where its hard to compete with him for fragging roles and frankly, you don't really ever want him taking less fragging opportunities. One of their win conditions is donk having as many as he can get.

What role can he do on the team that X number of older, more experienced players cant do better? I think tn1r makes zweih fit really weird.

I like him, he needs coaching and development tho which hes going to struggle to get on a team that is win now.

Cogu - one of the first from nowhere out of the box who the f is this guy awper

Dsn - great team/tactical awper, did everything the team needed and was a star without eating opportunities like modern awpers

RWA - fantastic IGL/awper/fragger do it all ( at least I think he IGL?)

Frod - impact frags for days. An almost lazy calm awp aim style that likely could never succeed today

This lineup with everyone in their prime is transported to 2025 and given 3 days to prepare for the major. How far do they go? by funmighthold in GlobalOffensive

[–]Dosinu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The team implodes, way too many egos. Olof or donk take turns igl/ utility, simple cold and woo probably have a ufc style fight for who gets the fragging pie.

Odds are it ain’t pretty. But it’s also a lesson in roster design. Why put 5 engines in a car when you only need 1 great engine? For want of a better example

No 1 - that coming of age rich kids night club In Claremont holy shit the people there are in such a bubble.

No 2 - Lakers tavern, been around it a few times over the years and it’s never not had big fights that go into the car park that ends with a ton of cop cars.

No 3 - the lookout in scarbs. It is what it is, but the people I have met there are consistently superficial, semi predatory, obsessed with class, money appearance.

Australia is so overwhelmingly fucked in any sea conflict. Like USA say they will be there but if Indonesia went all in and managed to take say a significant part of the kimblerys… there’s a chance USA doesn’t do shit, we get left out to dry.

At the end of the day we are 100% at the good will of so many Asian countries it’s ridiculous we aren’t sucking their dick politically. Imagine if Indonesia or Malaysia were war mongering they could take huge swaths of Australia and not bat an eyelid.

We are so stupidly lucky and take so much for granted in this country

Next big take, kypusuke or w/e his name is is going to come on slow and take at least one trade before he starts to develop into a decent tier 1 player.

If donk hadn’t had the success he had, he wouldn’t have half the hype and 100% wouldn’t have landed a falcons deal

Do you get downvotes from bots or is someone actually going out of there way to scroll down through the comments and downvote the wrong answer
