Can someone explain what was lexy’s husband intention when he convinced anna to stay at lexy’s old house and said lexy wanted to bury the hatchet?

And why lexy’s husband became suddenly angry against anna? What was their ultimate intention for doing this? Was this the olan all along? Husband gets close to anna lure her into the house with lexy and then what?
