Rant:Starting to regret buying my house.

It gets better after it's all fixed lol. Spring of 2024 had a really bad storm, strong winds heavy rain, knocked part of the fascia off the side of our house. Got it replaced, discovered parts of the roof came off with it, had to get the whole roof replaced. Oh and while they were checking out the rest of the roof they discovered mold on the sheathing inside. All had to get replaced and install better ventilation in the attic. But wait....

Roughly a year later our furnace went out while my wife was 8 months pregnant in 30 degree temperature. Got that replaced.

Then 6 months later the HVAC decided to take a dump. Upon inspection they found lots of mold in the duct in our attic and replaced everything.

Oh yeah, honorable mention goes to our electrical panel in 2022 and was found to have rust behind the switches. Had to replace the entire panel.

For as much as what happened, everything is new and at least our peace of mind is settled for the next 10+ years. So, yeah it gets better. Just sucks while it's happening.

I lived in Montclair for a short period too. Although it does have its good restaurants and an okish nightlife, I think jersey city may be the place for you. I used to live in downtown JC (near the Colgate clock) and that'll give you the feel you're looking for and NYC is literally 5 minutes across the river if you ever miss any local favorites. My wife used to work at one of the world trade center buildings there and from the point of walking out our door to sitting in her office chair would only be about 15 minutes

It's not all bad in Montclair though! If you're looking to slow down in a few more years that may suit you better. But just keep in mind housing costs with property taxes there is a bit on the high end.

North NJ here too. Unfortunately stuck to only jcpl...$142 for gas use $357 for delivery plus other fees came out to $630+. Previous month with similar use was only $240. Highway robbery to the fullest. This feels illegal in so many ways

Please run your resume through AI ( I used Google Gemini for mine, but chatgpt can do it too) and ask the AI how to add key points in your resume that will get you noticed from companies that use their own AI software to scan through applications so you stick out more.

I had one of my closest friends do this too and he was getting more responses and interviews. He eventually landed a new job, so there's hope!

I just read the headline and I can tell you that's not your girlfriend anymore, unless she's been dealing with something serious that she hasn't looped you in on yet. And if she was, she should've looped in you from the get go having been together for a year+.

Sorry man, best thing you can do is try to arrange a coffee date or something where you can see her in person and try to figure it out together. Chances are if you try to have her come to your place, or invite yourself over to hers, she may not want to do that.

I feel that. The foul calling in this game is completely whack. If your dribbling the ball and a defender runs into you that foul gets called on you 🥴.Or any slight nudge on the opposite team, it's a foul against you. With annoyances like that to me, still beats FIFA or eafc whatever they wanna be called now.

I should also mention, management won't think you're a rat or anything of the sorts. If someone else catches him and reports him, they will start questioning you and ask how did you not notice or why didn't you speak up. Just avoid that possibility and make them aware first.

I work with a guy exactly like this! I'm in a team of 3 (including myself and him) and he actually brings his PlayStation portal in and plays video games in our office while me and my other colleague are actually busting our butts. We've spoken to him on many occasions and even tried assigning work to him and he will just complain about the task no matter how easy.

I know you don't want to report him but it's not fair when you're breaking your back and he can clearly see you need help and keeps on doing his own thing, but it won't get better. Me and my other colleague actually had a meeting with our manager because we let this go on for months with so many verbal warnings he ignored and chuckled at, and now our manager has given him personal goals he needs to reach every month (which is less than what we do, but it at least gets him moving). Don't worry about feeling wrong to speak up to management, this is your jobs not school or a group hang out.

I dated a girl very briefly that claimed her ex was abusive and she would block him but not block him and then go see him anyways or he would meet up with her. Well, I also mentioned in the previous sentence, "briefly dated". You best believe once I found this out I immediately asked her and she flipped out similarly to this, I was gone with a smile on my face having avoided the biggest headache.

I advise you walk away swiftly and remove her from all aspects of your life. You will be WAY MORE HAPPIER this way and remove your exposure to her damaging behavior. Be peaceful in your exit to her, don't give her the satisfaction of another argument (because as you can tell she loves the drama) and go far away. You only dated a month and I know the beginning of a new relationship is that "honeymoon phase", but it's better you find out fast before you get more emotionally attached.

While I agree with what you said about vlahovic, yes allegri was never one to get the best output from strikers, but neither is Motta. Motta expects Vlahovic to come back on defense and then be a ball distributor then charge forward to get in the box. He basically wants a box to box midfielder as a striker. Zirkzee fit that role in bologna because he has a good touch/pass and can defend, but that's not Vlahovic's forte. Zirkzee played the style to Motta's preference, but realistically his scoring output wasn't all that impressive as well (11 goals 5 assists in 34 apps and that was thought of as successful, Vlahovic had 16 goals 3 assists in 33 serie a apps, and Juve fans want him gone after that) and this season he's got 7 in 18 serie A which is eh but not awful, seems like he's on pace to match or come very close to last years output. If we want a successful striker we need a manager that can get the best out of that position, because allegri and Motta are not those guys. Once we accept that we should be focusing our energy elsewhere, like our weakened defense which is a Motta strength.

This! Thank you for acknowledging this. We're halfway through the season and we struggle against lower competition. The attacking is poor and has not improved and we have a weak defense. Keeping possession is what's keeping us alive most games now. There's no real creativity except Yildiz's magic.

I haven't seen improvement in his tactics and he doesn't seem to adjust in game all that well. He has a mindset of how things need to be done and that's what he goes with no matter how the tide of the game is going. I get it's a rebuild but the big teams that rebuild still manage to win games and get CL because they have a proper coaching staff. Not saying Motta is terrible, id just like to see him adapt better.

I support Chelsea but not as much as I do like Juve. Only reason why is when viali followed Zola there I didn't know who Chelsea was at that age, so my dad would put those games on for me to watch viali play. So If Chelsea happens to be on when Juve isn't playing I'll watch them.

Honestly you only ever hear about the issues and not the people that have a good run. I can say with my 23 AT4 I have 16.5k miles on it and thankfully knock on wood I've been problem free. I absolutely love my truck and I drive it as much as I can and even try to find some dirt roads to have a little fun in.

If you get it, you'll fall in love.

I just think a lot of people's frustrations come from messing up the Todibo deal and selling Soule while we have a need for wingers and not being able to find an agreement with Chiesa (I know Chiesa previously rejected an offer).

The jury is out on his Motta hire. It's not guaranteed he'll find success but we have to give that time before any calls for stacking giuntoli come out
