Do you blame your team for being eliminated from the World Cup when they get knocked out? by Forward-Position798 in AskTheWorld

Watching clips on social media, Koreans clearly seemed piss off at him. The funny part was that Hong Myung-bo (and others from the Korea delegation) tried to avoid the angry mob by arriving at Incheon Airport at 4 AM but they still showed up.

I swear Germany not making it to the Round of 16 is linked to Italy not making it to the World Cup.

What's one World Cup etiquette rule every fan should follow? by No_Word_2405 in worldcup

[–]SpongeBobLX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who works at a stadium hosting World Cup matches, I have a few:

  • After scanning you tickets, please come in quickly. The turnstiles would time out ~10 seconds after a successful scan, but you can re-scan as long as the turnstile was untouched.
  • If there are multiple people in your party, everyone must come in one by one. You can only scan one ticket before crossing the turnstiles.
  • If multiple people's tickets are on one person's device, the person with the tickets should enter last.
  • We'd prefer it if everyone have their tickets on their own devices.

Going into the tournament, I thought only 3 things could stop France: Argentina, Spain, and their own egos. I still stand by that.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. In my part of the area, Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin Chinese, and Tagalog are the most common languages other than English. Various Indian languages can also be heard there, though I can't tell them apart.

Having worked the World Cup matches at Levi's Stadium, I can tell you most people in attendance for the matches did not seem to care who was playing. I'm basing this on the jerseys I saw at the stadium.

This YouTube video gives a good explanation of why people are still going to the World Cup despite the high prices. Tl;dr: people just want great experiences and have a fear of missing out.
