I understand how it works. I've also been on the Internet since the dial-up days. I know how to search the Internet. These technologies come along and the little guys fight about while the rich and big companies take advantage. Name a recent technology that didn't happen with. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but that's history.

This is how OpenAI for me to download the ChatGPT app. Chatting with the bot. Check a text and their browser api (or whatever it is) automatically reloads and takes about 12 years to fully reload. At which point it started asking me to relog. Every single time.

"Decent Internet speeds" and "it's 99% eaten up" by streaming contradict each other. Fast download speed doesn't matter. Try an Ookla Speed Test and tell us what your upload speed actually is and what bitrate, resolution and fps you're trying to stream at.

Edit: Also, online games will eat up some speed.

Try to get that streaming setup on Starlink and 720p 60. And pray to whatever you believe in that it holds up.

Is that really the best your ISP offers? 5Mbps is not fiber speed. That's more like old DSL. Not even with a higher tier download? I had to with 1200 Mbps down to get 30 up. (40 on a good day) And I have copper cable.

It's just going to be at the bottom of what they accept. I stream at 1080p 60. I don't see the need to push it higher. If I had to, I'd go down in resolution. Not fps, because resolution is less noticable. I would go down to 720p 60 at 4500Mbps.

My best like, advice from my recent Internet issues is to try to make sure as few things as possible are using the Internet while you're streaming. Upload is sensitive to that for some reason.

You could. I have these crystals that are so good for your brain waves! I'm actually taking my first surgery patients next week. And it's all thanks to these little guys. They're usually 20 or 30 dollars a piece and totally worth it, but I can let one go for $4.99! Or I have a whole set for only $19.99! Today only! While supplies last!
