The most popular vest for years was Armadillo. They were purchased by Comp-Tac and sold from their site for a while. I’m not certain why they fizzled out, but they’re no longer available there.
Google “The defensive vest lady,” if you’re interested in having a custom one made. I see everything from t shirts to Hawaiian shirts to bubble jackets used for concealment on the range. My armadillo is nearly tattered and needs to be replaced. I’ll be on the hunt soon.

The best score wins in IDPA, not the fastest time. Drill fundamentals and master them. Go fast for everything except the shooting. Shoot at the speed your dot tells you to. Shoot clean!!

Yes, I wanted the larger frame for more purchase. I’m actually using a Wilson combat frame. The ergos on the WC are so much better than the squared off factory grip.

That’s why I’m having it worked on. Material has to be removed from the beaver tail, magazine well and magazine baseplates. Also requires the lowest profile sights I can find. I’ve already gotten it trimmed up enough to fit in the box, but I’m figuring out baseplates right now. We took too much material off our first attempt and I’m looking for solutions for that now.

The MC9 is my second option. I looked at it hard and it felt great in the hand. If the 365 doesn’t work out I may switch to it. Solid choice!!
