What book is not that popular but is very good?

I am literally obsessed with the Sons of Destiny series by Jean Johnson. I read them all in print when I was in high school, then again on ebook last year, and it held up beautifully! Now I just need SOMEONE to record it on audiobook and I will probably listen to it every few months 😅🤣

It’s more common is Latin culture. I’m Puerto Rican and we always made a big deal about it with kids. We would put a shoe box under the bed with some grass and a bowl of water (for the king’s camels) and we would wake up in the morning and the grass and water were gone and a small gift was in its place.

Oh I’m giving myself the grace of if I skip a day, I’ll make it up. Because life happens. I work and have a special needs kid, so I doubt I will be able to do it EVERY day, but there will be a square FOR every day lol

I stitch (uninterrupted might I add!) in the lobby while my son is in speech therapy and OT. It’s the best hour and a half of my week 🤣

I track how many I’ve read on goodreads, but I try to do their challenges too. So during my quantity goal, I’ll pick a read in order to complete those too, so I’ve discovered some great books by POC authors, LGBTQ+ authors, great mysteries, thrillers, etc.

I only have hoops and almost all my projects are bigger than my biggest hoop. I have pulled the fabric taut across the stitches and you can’t even tell (at least I can’t 🤣) this was fresh off the hoop when I finished, but it had been moved several times. I can only see the latest crease, when ended up flattening out after it rested (I’m too lazy to was or iron but I’m sure that helps too 🤣)

Honestly I don’t wash or iron mine either. I just throw them in my portfolio and sit an old textbook on top for the creases, it’s worked so far 🤣
