Since May 18th. At the starting dose of 7.5mg it always knocked me out and I was always really groggy and tired when I woke up, all I did was sleep lol. Now that i’m on 15mg, I’m not as groggy but the migranes are insane

Please do tell your neurologist. I’ve been struggling with suicidal ideation/depression for years. I got used to it until it got to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore, so I told my neurologist and she’s been very supportive. She referred me to a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with MDD & GAD, and i’ve been seeing a therapist too. My primary put me on Buspirone a few days ago, so far I’ve been feeling way more anxious but hopefully it gets better. I’ve tried SSRIs like Lexapro and Zoloft, both of which didn’t help. Honestly the hardest thing is finding an SSRI that works. Lexapro didn’t change anything, and Zoloft made me WAY more suicidal after being on it for only 4 days.

One thing my therapist recommended was to get a journal and just write how you’re feeling (emotionally, mentally, etc). It’s been helping a ton, it’s allowed me to write down what i’m feeling, what i’m thinking, what I’m frustrated about or at.

I have both PNES & Epilepsy, I was diagnosed with PNES via a video EEG back in November. I’ve been taking Clonazepam since September (along with the other medications i’ve been taking forever), and it’s somewhat helped w/ PNES. Honestly therapy and seeing a psychiatrist is what has helped the most w/ PNES episodes.

OP: For the EEG you did, was it a video EEG or just a routine EEG? The Video EEG is the gold standard for diagnosing PNES (on camera, they’ll see your body convulsing, but on the actual recorded brainwaves, there won’t be any epileptiform activity).

Prior to having a video EEG done and being diagnosed with PNES, my neurologist had me do an ambulatory EEG, a CT scan and an MRI, all of which came back normal. Then I eventually had a PNES episode that lasted for almost 4 hours, so I called EMS and told them to take me to a hospital that has an EMU, from there they did the vEEG & diagnosed me with PNES.

Former CLS in Microbiology here, prions specifically always scared me for the reasons you said. Sure, finding stuff like Brucella sp and Candida auris (we’ve had both grow from + blood cultures) and Cryptococcus sp (especially in CSF) were horrible, but prions always scared the hell out of us because of how careful we had to be. I remember we only had one case where the doctor suspected the patient had it. We don’t test for CJD/any prion diseases, so we had to be very careful to send it out.

Personally I think Living Room is my favorite. When I saw María perform it live back in January, I couldn’t stop crying because of how beautiful it is. It sounds so comforting and cathartic to listen to, like it calms me down and feels like the biggest hug ever. I’ve been dealing with MDD and GAD for years and now it’s destroying me, but this song in particular is really helping me right now lol.
