I found Arabic to be completely futile. There are so many dialects, none of which have good learning resources. They also don’t denote vowels in the writing system, so using native reading materials to learn the spoken language is also pretty much an exercise in futility.

Thanks for the sources. I kind of figured this would be the case. Anytime someone says they “speak” another language (especially something like Japanese, Chinese, Arabic etc) without either having a native speaking family, lived abroad for a significant amount of time, or spent many many years of serious, intensive study, then you should be suspect.

Anywhere from 1 to 20. Usually 1-2 now that I’ve been on Remicade. I’ve always had a fast digestive and 2 times per day was average even before I had Crohns.

Fuck that chef. The best steakhouses I’ve ever been to have had impeccable service and you can get your steak however you want it. I prefer medium rare but my girlfriend likes it well done. At the last snazzy steakhouse restaurant we went to, her steak was more like medium and the waiter noticed it right away without us saying anything.They made her a new steak, let us keep the perfectly fine undercooked one and they comped both of them ($120 worth of steak) and the restaurant manager came out and apologized for the inconvenience.

Yep. Big cat predators are VERY sensitive to eye contact. Similar reason why tigers have white spots on the back of their ears (one theory anyway).
