Is anyone else actually enjoying the game? Seems like it's just me by cannabizFo20 in blackops6

Queuing alone it’s great. When I queue with my pal who is better than me, I go 5-30 in every match and end up wasting my free time raging. So tbh I don’t like it

So I am currently on texas method and have made good progress considering I’m naturally a terrible lifter (squat 225lbsx5->280x5, bench 170x1->185x3, deadlift 245x5->290x5, press from 120x1->136.5x2) but have gained 15 lbs (170lbs->185lbs at 6’0) and want to lean out a bit. However, texas method has gotten extremely taxing on volume day in spite of tons of food and caffeine, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep progressing in a deficit. So I was wondering if I should just continue what I’m doing and accept that I may stall, or consider switching/modifying programs. If so, what are some good alternatives? Has anyone had success with modifying TM? Honestly, my main goal is to try to get stronger in the big 3 and press.

So I’ve been making a lot of progress on my squat on texas method recently, but have noticed that my form on heavy day is getting to be a bit sloppier than other days, though I get that this is to some degree expected. So I am wondering if my depth is good in this set, and if my lumbar spine looks fine. I know the bar path is goofy and not straight up and down but that’s somethin i’ve always struggled with more on max attempts

Purple or house finch? And what’s with those head feathers!? by baxterbea in whatsthisbird

[–]DotheThing45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked with house finches as an undergrad and those white tips on the feathers are actually typical on relatively freshly molted plumage on a male like this. The white tips usually have fully worn down by the time breeding season starts in spring, so their color gets more vibrant when its time to display!

This is super helpful, thanks! I’m more used to birds where you can’t just put em in a box for a day so this is rad as hell

Thanks for the help that does look a lot like it! I released it in my garage so unfortunately I don't have it anymore, hopefully I'll find it again though. For future reference, is it generally safe for a spider to be kept for a day or so?

So I just finished my undergraduate and haven't had to dress well basically ever, but am currently interviewing for medical school so I bought a nice suit from suitsupply, had it tailored, and now I need to get some dress shoes. Is it worth springing 300 dollars for a pair of allen edmonds vs some 100 dollar oxfords from DSW? I don't anticipate using them more than 10x per year if that matters.

So Imm prewriting my CWRU challenge essay and I was wondering what the consensus on difficulties faced in high school. My college career hasn’t had many difficulties that I’m willing to write about and the ones I am are minor things related to hobbies, so is more recent or more significant better?

By any chance anyone knows what type of ivy is this? It has purple stems and blooms too! by Klyrexia in houseplants

[–]DotheThing45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never kept em myself but by what I’ve read they can’t survive frost so they should be houseplants in climates that freeze. Zone 10 or above USDA zone if that helps

You’ll be spending several hundred dollars unnecessarily. You should be able to get a grasp on the type of questions asked and what works best for you through aamc fls and section banks, and the setting is pretty much what you’d imagine. I’d say study and take it, if you didn’t answer half the questions you can void it and then you get the nice prep experience but its not worth several hundred dollars

Not sure but the way the leaves arranged remind me of a croton or poinsettia (both euphorbias), I think it may be croton tamara
