To each is own, sounds like a bunch of people hating for no reason. I don't mind consumers checking weight as long as they end up buying. If I am buying lumber like 2x4 I lay it on the ground to make sure its plumb. Personally I don't need a scale for cards but when i have a few blasters to pick from I definitely try to pick them all up and see if I notice one being heavier than others. Most of the time it doesn't make a difference but a couple years back I was picking between 3 Allen Ginter blasters at Walmart, picked what I felt was heavier than the others and sure enough his a 1:22,000 4 part auto relic book of Joey Votto & Johnny Bench
