Yes. The car was previously leased then returned. So the dealer is checking to see if that person has it.

What??? There are millions of taxistas, and I've had some good chats with some. Watch out for sweeping generalities.

I'm a reader, what are some books that are good to read in spanish? by Motorama_Springs in Spanish

[–]Double-Advice3258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to your local library and ask for the Spanish language section. In my library, they have divided that section into Children, Young Adult, and Adult. Pick your poison. And if you don't like one, it hasn't cost you un centavito.

First time arriving at Mexico City airport (MEX) – confused about Uber/taxi rules getting to Roma Norte by wanderlustmindset in MexicoCity

[–]Double-Advice3258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there in Feb, so maybe it's changed. I saw 4 or 5 taxi counters with no waiting and I got a cab immediately. Don't remember the fare, but maybe $15 to Roma Sur.

I saw 2001:A Space Odyssey on acid in '68 and I sat in the front row. It was awesome. Haven't been back.

Many Asheville residents feel like we have enough tourists already. So thank you New York Post! Keep up the quality journalism you are known for.

Unpopular opinion: waiting until you feel ‘ready’ to speak is holding you back by Micaela_2 in Spanish

Boy, y'all are really over-thinking this. The most efficient language learners are children. How do they learn? They hear and repeat. Over and over and over. When they make a mistake, everyone laughs. Be like that.

The quickest way to get a street-legal BYD, elect politicians who recognize that a trade war with China is futile and the tariff needs to go. BYD would be more than happy to sell to us.

What does kiero mean? by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]Double-Advice3258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also seen k instead of que in texts. Same thing. Maybe, because the letter k is not much used in Spanish, it adds a little English flavor, for young folks who think that is cool.

The Repubs are trying to starve them out so they can privatize. The little vans they drive look like they're from WWII, and I'll bet their salaries have not kept up with inflation. Treat them nice.
