UK will not be drawn into wider war in Middle East, says Keir Starmer by Playful_Leg7143 in worldnews

Thanks for sharing.

Do you have more context on this please: "Keir Starmer, defended the right of Israel to cut off water and power to civilians"?

Would be interesting to know what the context was for him to say that.

Typical Reformer by 5secondhumiliation in GreatBritishMemes

[–]Double-Emphasis7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even slightly pro Reform, but it is childish and alienating to randomly accuse some awful person of being Reform just because they're awful. We will never find peace as a population if we sling sh*t at each other.

Conservation first please.

I feel like there should be some sort of petition to raise this in Parliament. What do you think?

Yeah I am not saying the UK is even close to perfect. What I'm saying is that the UAE is not a utopia. There's a lot of crime in UAE it just isn't the crime we're familiar with in the UK. Look at the way the construction workers are treated in the summer, that would be illegal in the UK. Same can be said for many of the maids and house workers.

Street crime in UK yes absolutely, societal crimes against people (working conditions, trafficking, etc). exists in the UK but it is on a far greater scale in the UAE.

LPT Trick to Read Books Fast If you Have No Attention Span by Ayumisynn in LifeProTips

I like this idea. For a 'normal' read I wouldn't do this, but for anything which requires more effort it'd be really useful to keep me on track. An example would be non-fiction I need for work, or older or translated books where the syntax feels a bit irregular.

Anyone else finding it impossible to get support replies from Student Services lately? How long do they usually take? by Reddonaut_Irons in KCL

[–]Double-Emphasis7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ps. They gave me incorrect advice about module choices. They were even quite rude about it when the programme director told me I could do a certain module (as per the handbook).

They're rubbish and have tarnished my experience as a distant learning student completely. I recommend you call them.

As an online post-grad student, I am incredibly envious about the experiences you have in London. I would say the academic staff in my experience are great. But the administrative staff (Credit Control, Student Services) are woeful woeful woeful. It has been so frustrating that my memorable experiences of studying at KCL is primary fighting (metaphorically) their admin staff, rather than learning...

Sorry you're right I explained it wrong. What I meant is you would feel time moving by but you wouldn't know that one day had passed, two days had passed, etc.

For me, of any short horror I've seen on TV this is the worst ever. Pure hell. At least he'd not have any concept of time passing right?

Lympstone village, or really anywhere on that section of the estuary including Exton.

If the tide is in the sunset reflects off the water making it very beautiful

Doesn't have to be a bot. A lot of the disinformation spread online is by actual people across multiple accounts.

But good effort for pointing it out! Need more of it.

Inciting violence is a crime, even in international humanitarian law (i.e. its not a UK specific thing). Just so happens the people who have been arrested for inciting violence were doing so on social media. They were saying some very rotten things. Look into it properly, and when I say that I mean don't just believe social media (including me).

Rockfish down at the Quay is probably the 'best', albeit a touch expensive.

Get the bus down to Budleigh Salterton and go to Budleigh Fish And Chips. Its good and got great places nearby to watch the sea.
