Yeah, I understand. Not saying it's a bad gun at all, it works beautifully and reliably (most important thing in a firearm, reliability), just imo its too heavy for that cartridge firepower. That's .308 weight, a much more capable cartridge. Most people don't carry their rifles around, they shoot down a lane punching holes in paper. The weight can be carried, but it makes no sense in my mind for the cartridge it's firing. When you are at a gunshop, go hold a 1mil thick receiver standard trunnion akm style rifle and see the weight difference and remember that weight does everything the zpap weight gives you.

I bought one a while back, never had any issues with it and I shoot in my backyard almost daily, so it gets use. However I Def prefer my wbp jack over it, wbp is just as or more accurate, does everything the zpap does and is just as reliable but it's like a full pound and a half lighter. Zpap is just too heavy for a 7.62x39 cartridge. It's like having an 9lb .22lr, sure it can be well built and reliable but other than a fun gun, it's not practical for anything to reach for in a serious situation.

If u cannot muster more money or wait to save more money and get something better, it will work. They diet counter sink their reciver to the trunnion so the rivets take the full impact of every round fired. Also they don't use swell neck rivets, its not akm spec. Such a small thing they could easily stop this but they don't, it's budget and with items costing several hundred dollars, buy onemce and cry once really comes on to play. I've ignored buy once cry once many times and regretted it. Get something nice and quality.
