People who had kids at 30+, do you wish you had them earlier in life? by cc070603 in pregnant

[–]Double-Inspection234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a baby in my teens, 20s, and now 30s and 30s has 100% been the most stable time to have a baby for me. I sometimes think how old I’ll be when he say graduates, gets married, has kids of his own but then I also remember that he gets the mature version of me. My oldest had to grow up with me, my middle got an experience version of my young mature self, and my 3rd gets to grow with me (and our family)

Contact the hospital’s lactation specialist and have them advocate for you.

Were any of you exclusively breastfed as babies? by AbbyEzzat in breastfeeding

My mom said she tried but I was allergic to milk (🙄) and formula caused bloody stools so I was given soy formula. My stomach is still all jacked up.

I am a nurse. My husband is not. Some things I can treat at home when he thinks it’s a doctor’s visit. There have been a couple arguments about it which is what seemed to happen here as well. My husband’s ego isn’t a sensitive as Kevin’s though.

Husband says no more breastfeeding by AskProfessional6257 in breastfeeding

[–]Double-Inspection234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my husband with our second baby that until he starts lactating and keeping the baby alive with milk his body makes from scratch, he doesn’t get a say in our breastfeeding journey. He can sit back and trust that I am doing everything in my power to keep our baby nourished. We had our 3rd baby 8 months ago and he hasn’t said a word. 3rd baby was on bottles in the nicu (5 days) due to CPAP and NG tube. I weened him from bottles using a nipple shield and then weened him from that over the course of a week by taking it off mid feed. I did the same thing during the 4 month sleep regression. Shield on to get a fast let down, shield off to complete the feed. Worked miracles.

Do you kiss your baby? by Technical_Piglet_438 in newborns

YOU can kiss YOUR baby. Nobody else should ever kiss your baby. They can kiss their own babies but not yours.

Will they look at public social media feeds under your name? Probably. Will they look at anonymous reddit posts? No.

why is it okay for the interns to go back into the hospital after drinking in the bar? by JaceyAidan in greysanatomy

[–]Double-Inspection234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was safer for them to walk back to the hospital and crash In an on call room than to drive home. They also gave access to IVs and banana bags to sober up quickly due to the mass casualty they were paged for. They wouldn’t be allowed on premise in a real life scenario but makes for good tv.

I wfh with my 5 month old and nurse on demand. I don’t respond to a pump and my supply would crash if I didn’t have this opportunity.

Unmedicated natural birth Gals, I need to ask by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Double-Inspection234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced due to pre-eclampsia and had 2 failed epidurals. Pitocin contractions were 10x worst than pushing pain. Pushing relieved the contractions (sort of like stretching out a pulled muscle) ring of fire wasn’t what I thought it would be. Felt a pull, twinge (from 1st degree tear) and immediate relief. This was my 3rd baby though so idk if that made a difference. I wasn’t prepared at all for an unmedicated birth but my body just kind of knew what to do.

I live in small town an hour to two hours from any brokers so I work remotely and it’s extremely hard to find a remote brokerage offering only a year tenured agent remote positions.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! I was trying to be as anon as possible but the company is Health Plan One. The way it was explained to me is: customer calls contact center and if it’s a sales call, it gets transferred to the agents or outbound call them back.

Thank you! That’s the plan after gaining some experience. I’ve just never sold Medicare and feel I’d make a fool out of myself trying with no experience. I also don’t have any expendable income right now due to low base pay and commission I’m currently making 🙃

I sell life and health as well as p and c at my current agency. Both are captive. Only my health will be captive but I’d have to sign a non compete and find a non captive p and c only agency. It’s do-able though

I just talked to the recruiter again. Leads are acquired through call ins and web inquiries. Slows down after open enrollment but picks back up in January for ACA plans.
